Motorcycle Safety Month in B.C. Small choices can make a big difference on the road: • Wear protective gear and choose bright or high‑visibility colours • Keep your headlights on at all times • Choose your lane position so you’re easier to see Motorcycles can be harder to spot, especially in traffic. WorkSafeBC has updated the Table of Exposure Limits for Excluded Substances following the December 2025 ACGIH list of new or revised Threshold Limit Values. Until WorkSafeBC’s Board of Directors makes a decision on whether to adopt these changes, the existing B.C. Exposure Limits remain in effect. Employers can review all current B.C. The 2026 Regional Safety Advisor Annual Workshop brought the RSA’s together for 2 days of collaboration, learning, and strategic planning focused on strengthening support for British Columbia’s construction industry. These in-person sessions are an important opportunity to build RSA knowledge, share regional experiences, strengthen relationships, and align approaches across the province to better support employers and workers in the field. During the workshop, RSAs participated in a demonstration of the BCCSA’s new Safety on Tour truck and trailer, delivered through a custom-built mobile trailer, the program takes safety learning on the road, helping workers, students, and employers experience real-world safety scenarios firsthand. The group also attended a session with Dr. Paul Farnan to discuss the Peer Support Recovery Navigator program and how the program helps employers and workers respond early and build safer, recovery-inclusive workplaces. RSAs met with WorkSafeBC to discuss 2026 prevention strategies and emerging industry priorities. The workshop also included sessions with BCCSA Management, providing an overview of the organization’s direction and priorities for 2026. In addition, the RSAs delivered presentations to management reviewing regional strategies, impact measurement, effectiveness, and industry outcomes. These discussions reinforced the importance of identifying meaningful ways to measure success while continuing to focus on practical solutions that make safety simpler and more effective for the construction industry. Through open discussions, hands-on learning, and engagement, the workshop reinforced the value of practical, consistent, and focused safety support.
