El BCIE marca un hito histórico con la aprobación de su Noveno Incremento General de Capital Durante la LXVI Asamblea de Gobernadores, los países miembros aprobaron el Noveno Incremento General de Capital, elevando el capital autorizado de US$7,000 millones a US$10,000 millones. Asimismo, aprobaron una reforma al Convenio Constitutivo que fortalece la participación accionaria de Panamá y la República Dominicana en el Banco. Estas decisiones representan una transformación histórica para el BCIE y sientan las bases de una institución más sólida, moderna, transparente y preparada para responder a los desafíos y oportunidades de las próximas décadas. Los acuerdos alcanzados fortalecen la solidez financiera y la gobernanza del BCIE, consolidan la integración regional y constituyen un paso importante hacia futuras mejoras en las calificaciones de riesgo de la Institución. They also approved an amendment to the Constitutive Agreement that strengthens Panama’s and the Dominican Republic’s equity stakes in the Bank. These decisions represent a historic transformation for CABEI and lay the foundation for a stronger, more modern, and more transparent institution that is prepared to respond to the challenges and opportunities of the coming decades. The agreements reached strengthen CABEI’s financial soundness and governance, consolidate regional integration, and constitute an important step toward future improvements in the institution’s credit ratings.
