None of our interviewees are experts, but all have general knowledge of pick pocketing in Spain, all of which had been victims themselves or know someone that has been.

Have you been a victim of petty theft? If so elaborate on what happened? Should more be done to regulate petty theft? Do you feel safe knowing the amount of petty theft that goes on? We thought that our interviewees and questions covered many demographics, providing insight.

Our interviewees are residents of Barcelona, two of which working the front desk in the buildings we live in. Why do you think petty theft is prominent in Barcelona Is it as prominent as people believe it to be or is it exaggerated?

Tourists and study abroad students are warned about Barcelona’s petty theft and pickpocketing before visiting. Are these crimes as prominent as people perceive? After speaking with local Barcelona residents, we are able to gain clarity on what is embellished and what is factual.

Despite the challenges Marta faced with finding a real cooking job in Madrid, she is finally living her best life working at a top restaurant in the City. "I'm finally happy and satisfied with where I am" says Marta. "After everything I fought for, I now have it all."
