Our U13 netball team continued their incredible season by going undefeated and taking the title at Bolton School! Windy conditions couldn’t stop them, they adapted brilliantly and showed real class throughout. What a performance! Congrats to Sophia - Player of the Tournament!

Our Lenten Tree is now in place, inviting pupils and staff to share their prayers and hopes this Lent. As we reflect, we remember those around the world persecuted for their faith. May our prayers bring comfort and strengthen our commitment to peace and justice. 💙

Huge congratulations to our incredible pupils who took part in this year’s Young Writers’ Competition! Our young authors have once again had their 100‑word mini sagas selected for publication in the national anthology, an amazing achievement on a national stage. We're so proud!

Last week’s World Book Week took over our corridors! Staff turned their doors into brilliant story‑themed scenes and "Wally" went wandering through them all. Pupils loved hunting him down in every book he sneaked into. A fantastic celebration of reading! 📚🔍 #ProudToBeBlue

We're so proud of Year 9 pupil Ruby, who recently attended the Ramsbottom/Aquabears swim camp! She earned Swimmer of the Day for her effort and focus, then was voted Swimmer’s Swimmer (Queen of the Camp) for quietly getting on with the job and always giving her best. Well done!

🏆 It’s official! Our U13 netball team are National Cup Champions! A huge semi-final win (33–4 vs Notting Hill & Ealing) followed by a dominant 28–5 victory over Kings’ High, Warwick in the final! Special shoutout to Willow, named Player of the Final! 💙🔥 What a team!

We're grateful for 3 lovely Lenten Communions led by Rev. Hannah and Rev. Daniel. Each service invited us to face the barriers within ourselves and our world, trusting that God meets us with grace and courage. May we keep finding strength to walk more freely in God’s love. ✝️

Year 7 German pupils were incredible for #WorldBookDay, reading Elmar der Elefant in German (their first ever German lesson!) picking out words, meanings and creating their own Elmar elephants for our door display. A perfect story about being yourself and celebrating differences.

Huge congratulations to Joel and the Tameside Vikings U14s, now Ribble Champions 2026! First season in the regional league and they smashed it. Joel dropped 106 points and was a defensive machine all year. Playoffs next… let’s go Vikings! 🏆💪 #TamesideVikings #U14Basketball

On Tuesday, our students had an amazing time at Science Live 2026 at The Bridgewater Hall! 🔬 From inspiring talks by leading scientists to hands‑on insights/exam tips, they came away buzzing with ideas and motivation. Here’s to the next generation of scientists! #ProudToBeBlue

Miss Barclay’s Year 7s have outdone themselves. As part of their homework, they created stunning masquerade masks ready for the Capulet feast in Romeo and Juliet. The creativity in each design was incredible, with bold colours and intricate patterns. Huge well done to Year 7!
