The BCS Department of Exceptional Children hosted a Transition Fair for graduating seniors earlier this week at the BCTC! It was an opportunity for local agencies and companies to provide students with information about employment and career opportunities. #Classof2025

Reminder: For Friday, April 18th, there will be a two-hour early dismissal today for Boone County Schools. This will allow staff members to have the required faculty senate meetings for April.

Madison Elementary School was packed last night for the school's "Wax Museum" event. Student participation was tremendous as parents and family members toured the exhibits, which included the students dressing up like the famous individuals they researched. #GoBuffaloes

Scott High School's Cheerleading Team was recognized at this past Monday's Boone County Board of Education Meeting for being the 2024 WV Class "AA" State Runner Up! #Congratulations #GoSkyhawks

This year's BCS S.T.A.G.E. production, "Shrek JR: The Musical" is underway this week at the Madison Civic Center! Over FIFTY students from across the county make up the cast and crew for the show. Elementary and middle school students will be bused over to see the play! #STAGE

Update: For Friday, April 4th, Boone County Schools will be closed due to flooding concerns and the fact that more rain is anticipated throughout most of the morning.

Reminder: Friday, April 4th will be a two-hour early dismissal. This will allow time for the required April faculty senate meetings to occur.

Update #2: Due to flooding concerns, all schools will be dismissing early today. Secondary schools will be dismissing at approximately 11:00 AM and elementary schools will do so at approximately 12:00 PM.

Update: Due to a power outage there will be no school for Sherman Elementary School, Sherman Junior High School, or Sherman High School for Thursday, April 3rd.
