@OntarioNorth We have a system that scanned police feeds, identified possible Silver Alerts, and would pre-fill an alert. Then the operator would approve or delete the alert, and send it out to hundreds of subscribers and via Twitter and Facebook.

@BCSilverAlert How were you sending them out? Our tweets still get automatically posted from our website. Will twitter not allow you API access?

You may have noticed the BC Silver Alert is not longer sending automated tweets for missing persons. Because of changes to Twitter's services, we will not longer be able to automate on twitter. Our pilot project is shut down and we will continue manually,
