@TWITCH_ALLELENA My dad really enjoyed watching GuP because it was also very accurate with the radios that were used in the tanks. My dad collects radios, so while we were watching it together he would recognize the radios and talk about how he has one of them somewhere in his collection.

こいつは自分用に作ったデータベースですが、 ガルパンキャラが作中で使用する銃やモデルガンは多くの場合 『戦車の国籍』や 『キャラにゆかりのある国や人物が過去に使用』など キャラと銃の国籍を一致させてあるんですが、 バレー部だけはベルギー製だったりドイツ製だったり、もうわけわからん。

I don't know what changed with the algorithm, but now I am getting a ton of content from random Japanese accounts and it is so much better than what I was getting before. Makes this app a lot more enjoyable, and I get more Garupan content, too. Thank you, Japanese Twitter users.

@yoyonofukuoka It is very interesting learning Japanese and grasping this concept. I was surprised to learn Spanish does the same (trying to learn both, currently). I notice it most how AI will get the gender of the subject wrong when translating from Japanese

@TWITCH_ALLELENA I think animated voice acting isn't taken as seriously in America as it is in Japan... I personally quite dislike the English dubs of most anime, and prefer to watch it in Japanese with subtitles, because the Japanese voice acting is just a lot better in my opinion...

The Keweenaw region in Upper Michigan has some of the highest quality copper in the world, being 95-98% pure. There is evidence of hundreds of ancient mines that date between 4,000 - 10,000 BC and that hundreds of tons of copper was removed. But, we have no clear idea what happened to all of it 👀
As someone who grew up there, I can confirm that there are ancient mines scattered all over, and that local tribes like the Obijwa tell stories that those mines were there when they arrived.
If you like ancient mysteries that are a little more niche, this is one worth looking into.
This is the kind of stuff that gets my worldbuilding wheels turning.

@BigBoris_2 While in reality I think the distinction historically between High Church and Low Church was more about doctrine (i.e. High being Lutheran, Low being Reformed) than it was about just mode of worship, though the service style often went hand-in-hand with the rest of the doctrine.
