-April 4- Thank you Gateway Theatre for the opportunity to attend “WildWoman!” This performance was truly WILD! We are so grateful for your support to our RWRC community - our group sincerely appreciates being welcome and able to experience these performances as a group.

-April 1- RWRC group was comfortable and cozy as we met the adorable bunnies at Cozy Carrots! It is a great place to visit - you will have a chance to spend time with bunnies, feed them some greens, and enjoy cuddly bunny company while supporting Rabbitats rescue!

-March 27- Happy Birthday Marielle! We are so fortunate to have one of RWRC’s founders - Marielle Demorest - still actively contributing to our Board and community! Marielle co-founded RWRC 50 yrs ago - and remains enthusiastically working with RWRC to support women in Richmond.

- March 25- At RWRC, we are animal lovers and are always particularly glad to support other groups that are helping animals in need. Our Board Co-Chair Jenny is all “hopped up” and ready to visit “Cozy Carrots” bunny cafe and learn more about rabbit rescue in Richmond.

International Women’s Day may be over - but our community still has the #GiveToGain spirit! We were so happy to be visited recently by friends from Coast Capital - with a very generous donation of $500! The Coast Capital team also offered volunteer help at upcoming events!

Catching up! We didn’t just celebrate St Patrick’s day with watercolour painting, we also had a fun St Patrick’s Day yoga class! Thanks to wonderful teacher Linda Li for leading our dedicated yogis through the class (and keeping an eye on “Patrick the Bear” 🐻👍🏻

March 17 - Happy St Patrick’s Day! We had an early celebration and lots of green Irish fun with watercolour painting with Erin! Lots of shamrocks created and feel very lucky to be able to gather together with such wonderful ladies and excellent teacher Erin!

March 9 - Our Heart Health walk group was glad for the usual expert guidance and encouragement from @physio2u Physiotherapist Ellen! Thank you Ellen & @kimphysio! Definitely easier to keep up healthy habits with good support and the encouragement of friends!

March 8 - Happy International Women’s Day! Heartfelt thanks to our many supporters who showed up for us to celebrate yesterday and #GiveToGain. It was a wonderful day - so joyful to spend time with old and new friends and long-time supporters.

Did you know RWRC has a cat? We sponsor Violet through @rapscatsanctuary. She is a perfect cat for us as Violet is our theme colour! We visited her last Fall and meet with Mandy and learn about the great work at the RAPs cat sanctuary. We look forward to another trip to support!

A great night for a walk for the “Coldest Night of the Year” supporting Chimo community services! Such a great turnout at this event - Chimo provides meaningful services to those most in need in our community. Our Board Co-Chairs Jenny and Traci were so glad to be able to support

What a truly joyful afternoon as we celebrated Lunar New Year together at the Gateway and listened to the outstanding “Silk Road Music” performance! What a perfect way to celebrate LNY - with uplifting music, stories and spending time together.

We are excited to invite our community to our International Women’s Day celebration - Saturday March 7 at the Richmond Country Club. Our event this year will also celebrate the milestone 50-year anniversary of RWRC.

We had a “full house” of ladies for an excellent workshop on tax preparation information, led by our great friend Joanne from Vancouver Family Services. And thanks to all our participants for showing up, excited to learn and to take control of their finances.

Heartfelt thanks to Jess at Arise self-defense for delivering another terrific workshop! Thank you also to all our wonderful participants for showing up - RWRC is committed to supporting women in our community to feel confident and safe. More empowering workshops to come!

Monday we had another great session with Physio Ellen. Our “Heart Health” walkers also wanted to share some LNY Greetings with the community! Day 7 of LNY celebrations is everyone’s birthday - a nice way to celebrate with nice walks with friends. Happy Lunar New Year!

Happy LNY! We are excited for weekend to visit Gateway Theatre to listen to Silk Road Music! Gateway Theatre is a truly community-minded organization. We were lucky to attend Silk Road Music last year and really looking forward to visiting again. Welcome the Year of the Horse!
