@TommyEgan357 users use the actual website. stakers are just idle token holders. trading vs hodling

One thing I genuinely don’t understand about the JUP airdrop logic.
Why is 175M JUP allocated to users, while only 25M goes to stakers again?
This was done in previous Jupuary as well, and the reasoning still isn’t clear to me.
Users are important, they use the products and generate fees.
But stakers are the ones who believed early, locked capital, voted, supported the DAO, and held through uncertainty.
By this logic, users are considered far more valuable than stakers. So what does that say about holding the token?
Does holding and staking JUP no longer matter? Does long-term belief in the token and the team carry less weight than short-term usage?
If users and holders are not treated as equals, then holding JUP starts to lose its meaning.
I’d really like to understand the logic behind rewarding users so much more than the people who actually invested, staked, and supported JUP as a token and as a DAO.

Last week, @TheSolchief and @Roy_O_Banon brought the @MetNaija community together in Anambra for an LP Workshop on @MeteoraAG.
The session was packed with hands-on learning as attendees learned about the three DLMM strategies: spot, curve, and bid-ask, and how to find Lping opportunities.
The team also highlighted the advantage of joining communities like @met_lparmy, showing how sharing insights and learning together can give LPs an edge.
On top of that, participants saw firsthand how Meteora’s technology simplifies LPing, making it easier to get started and stay confident while providing liquidity.
A live LP session brought all the lessons to life, and participants were able to ask questions, clarify doubts, and see strategies applied in real time.
To wrap up the session, @MeteoraAG merch and caps were distributed to participants, leaving everyone with a tangible reminder of the experience.
By the end, the workshop wasn’t just about learning, it was about connection.
Participants left with practical skills, a deeper understanding of liquidity provision, and stronger ties to the @MetNaija community.
It was a full day of knowledge, interaction, and growth, reminding everyone that @MeteoraAG, @met_lparmy, and @MetNaija are at the center of building the future of LPing in the Nigerian Solana ecosystem.

It’s time for the big one.
Next week, $KIRBY enters a new era. One that gives the community the strongest possible foundation moving forward.
After working closely with the Jupiter Studio team, we’re officially migrating the token from $KIRBY → $BALLS on 21st January.
For the next week, you need to do nothing! Simply hold your $KIRBY as normal while we finalise everything with Studio to ensure a seamless, holder-first transition.
⸻
Why are we doing this?
Over time, it’s become clear that our jokes, memes, and culture have evolved. Our ticker needed to evolve with them.
$BALLS better represents the mission, humour, and direction of the community.
The new branding is simpler, funnier, and more meme-native. Instead of the branding supporting the jokes, the joke becomes the branding.
It also gives us far more room to grow. As iconic as the puffball has been, certain ‘visuals’ simply aren’t practical for the real-world marketing of merch, posters, events, and broader exposure. $BALLS removes those limits.
We’ve also listened to long-standing feedback around IP risk. The new branding is entirely original, removing potential issues down the line and giving us full ownership of our identity.
Finally, as one of the first Jupiter Studio launches, $KIRBY inherited some of the friction that comes with a brand-new launchpad. Token discoverability issues, sub-optimal liquidity structure, and inconsistent platform labeling. This migration resolves all of that.
None of this changes our humour, our jokes, our memes. The community and the vibes remain the as strong as ever, only with branding that is strong enough to match.
⸻
Why now?
What started as a simple test of Studio has grown into something much bigger.
The creativity, commitment, and culture of this community deserves the best possible chance of long-term success.
It’s also important to recognise the backing that’s been granted to us by the Jupiter team with 20%+ of total supply acquired now for over 100,000$, alongside months of support preparing for the migration. A huge shout out to @bitcnoi especially for brainstorming with us for so long on how we can make this happen.
This kind of support is not taken lightly, and it’s our duty to ensure that their support leads to the best opportunities for the success of Studio as possible. Success for our launches are a success for Studio as a whole, and we take that responsibility seriously.
As part of this, we are committed to establishing a new liquidity pool pairing with $JUPUSD as a way to start integrating the @JupiterExchange stablecoin into the broader meme ecosystem. We will continue to grow this LP on top of the original $BALLS pool to deepen our liquidity further moving forward.
⸻
What do you need to do?
Nothing.
• No claim
• No forms
• No wallet connections
If you are providing liquidity, please remove it before 21st January.
Alongside the Studio team, we will handle everything.
Once the migration has begun, a snapshot will be taken at an undisclosed time.
If you are holding $KIRBY at that moment, you will receive $BALLS automatically via airdrop, directly from Studio.
⸻
Airdrop Details
Ratio: 0.8 BALLS : 1 KIRBY
The goal is to ensure holders maintain the same baseline $ value with a higher starting market cap, while allowing us to establish a stronger, more stable liquidity pool going forward.
The snapshot will be post-migration, just hold your $KIRBY to be included.
⸻
This Week
Expect to start seeing our branding around the account changing as we start our transition into the next stage of our journey.
We will be around as always to answer any questions that people may have around the migration so feel free to ask!
⸻
⚠️ Important Security Notice
Ignore any links, contracts, DMs, or “early migration” tools not posted from official accounts.
We will announce when the snapshot is complete
We will announce when migration is complete
We will then post the official $BALLS contract address
If it’s not from us, it’s not real.

My @jup_mobile badge was removed by @theonlywill on New Year’s with zero explanation.
After some digging, I was finally told the reason was “metrics”. That’s rich, considering my metrics would be stronger if the team hadn’t allowed @WillMcFletcher to log into the main @jup_uplink account months ago and unfollow me (a Jup Mobile Affiliate) instead of continuing to support my work.
And this wasn’t accidental.
It was done out of spite after I launched a token to showcase @moonshot (owned by @JupiterExchange). Will reposted my token launch livestream on the main Jupiter account without even watching it, which got him some backlash from the community for “promoting” a meme token.
I was told to stop promoting my token or I would risk losing my affiliation and my position in the Uplink Content Creator group. Ultimately, because of this, my token completely lost motion.
During several X Spaces and behind the scenes conversations, many affiliates, including Will, strongly criticized my decision to launch a coin with a Jup Mobile affiliate badge, labeling it as “obviously inappropriate”.
But it gets even BETTER.
A week later @jup_studio launched and Will himself pushed his own meme across multiple channels, which went nowhere.
They brought Cuppy into a townhall the person behind $POPCAT to teach us about “launching a coin” so I DMd her and told her everything , she said it was heartbreaking how I was being treated , she left Jupiter shortly after
So I have to ask:
Is this really a company that will sabotage its own affiliates over personal issues, ego, and poor management?
I was a top-performing grantee with some of the best growth metrics. Despite having a smaller following, I frequently ranked near the top in our Monthly Analytic Reports. Funding was pulled months ago, yet I kept grinding for Jupiter in good faith, believing the badge meant something.
All the giveaways and money I gave away during my time as an Uplink Content Creator came out of my own pocket. The team that was supposed to support affiliates has actively done the opposite. Since @vibhu left, things have gone downhill. Vibhu was supportive, level-headed, and inspiring. I think he may have left because he also saw this high-school behaviour forming: cliques, drama, and favouritism.
There are clear cliques at the top that seem scared of competition. Both affiliates (the Wills) running the Jupiter Mobile+Jup Uplink X account primarily support THEIR OWN content instead of other creators.
The craziest part of all of this is that, month to month, I have the same or better metrics WITHOUT team support.
That should tell you everything.
I thought Jupiter stood for PPP. Turns out it’s: Pure chaos, Poor communication, and People feeling the same way I do, but most don’t want to speak up. @TommyEgan357 what’s good?
My Jup badge is gone.
My Jup pay is gone.
They have nothing left to hold over my head to stop me from speaking up.
Good luck @xxjzhu. Here’s to hoping the new president can finally put an end to this unprofessionalism.

@playsolana stooging people on their staked nft xp on launch was a real ball breaker for the community, considering waiting months and months of delays, then springing it on people with minimal notice and tiny window. bit of a shit way to freeze out your own holders, zero sense

@lostsol True but I think good timing & finding the right people were our goggles. Sometimes i'd stop seeking passion, get abit out of step & suddenly its mid. My post is about wondering if maybe what is normally on the periphery for us, the mediocre, is actually the mainstream.
English

First Breakpoint. Main thought. You can easily fool yourself walking around thinking everyone is inspired, aspiring, pushing the meta to a pivotal point of innovation; that it is exciting. Maybe for most it's just retail, and the thing they work for lacks any intent to succeed. @solana
