A long-time practicing practitioner & I've never heard the likes of this timescale This must be a serious injury, I mean if you broke a leg you'd be back 3* faster Remember the times when we could follow a horses progress, now we can't even get a diagnosis, plenty prognosis🤔

@racehorsesrace1 Yeah and the worst thing you can do is bringing them back into too much work too quickly

@BCoward93 The most important thing is dealing with the injury, the getting them back to track part is secondary

@joshtoole91 @DarranPearce Yeah and can just pull 140 horse to hunterchasing. Would be incredibly rare for a point trainer to have a 140 horse

@BCoward93 @DarranPearce Exactly, what’s the point in even trying ? Of course skelton Nichols et al can get these horses much fitter than point lads, and im not slaying them at all as loads of talented people in that domain, but these lads have state of the art facilities

Call me controversial but isn’t it an absolute disgrace a horse like Golden sun is in a hunter chase ? 8 years old still in Nichols yard. Why do these big NH yards need to have runners in hunter chases ? Is it no sort defeating the object of them ?

@DarranPearce @joshtoole91 Point to point trainers don’t run in hunterchases because they are dominated by the under rules lot. Remove them and we will turn up and run our horses

@joshtoole91 Been happening for years and I can't see it changing any time soon. My feeling is that without pro trainers running their horses in hunter chases numbers would be even less especially as this time of year
