What Christopher Nolan is doing with dumbed down Odyssey is treating the modern audience like literal idiots...making the language easier, giving it modern L.A population casting.. It is all lesser because it takes you out of the suspension of disbelief, Gladiator was a hit because it was done right... 'father to a murdered son' Imagine ' Daddy to a murdered son..' do better
