@Barnegat_HS welcomed the @MSAaccredited Association, working to prove a defined set of performance standards, sufficient to achieve accreditation. The committee concluded that BHS should be recommended for accreditation and will continue on in this process. Big things ahead!!

We had our first field trip of the year today at Russo's Farm. We brought both MD classes and Interact Club members with us for a day of picking apples & pumpkins, running through the corn maze, and, of course, inhaling apple cider donuts! A great day with a great big group!

The new school year begins in the BHS BD class. Props to my one student's mom who sent him to school today with this t-shirt specifically for me to see. Ready & excited for another successful year with my kids and all the great things they'll do!

This coming weekend, Island Golf is offering all teachers $5 games of mini golf when you show ID. Plus, yours truly will be working there too, so we can cry together that summer is over!

The BD class debuted our final window painting project for the year. We picked 8 seniors, including our very own graduate Isabel, to grace our windows. They have been our biggest supporters! CONGRATULATIONS Class of 2024! We wish you all the best as you start your next chapter!

As a way of thanking all the many students that helped make the BD Bakery have its most successful year yet, we gave back with free pizza slices & bowls of mac & cheese as they left school today! Those kids ate it all up in less than 5 minutes!

Today was our annual trip to the Ocean Community Church to help sort & organize food donations they've received for their food pantry. 2-1/2 TONS of donated food & only 16 of us to get the job done in less than 2 hours. And did it we did! An amazing job by our students!

I was honored to be a part of the Voice of BHS competition at BHS this week. 6 amazing students brought down the house with their talents & left a difficult job for the judges! I was reminded how lucky I am to teach amongst such amazing students & to share the stage with them!

PARK n' RECREATION! The BHS BD class traveled to Cattus Island County Park on a PERFECT day to learn about our county's ecosystem. Our guide gave us a good time, as we did crafts, went behind the scenes, and saw the beauty surrounding our area! It was a fun, educational day!

Tomorrow night at 6pm @ BHS! See our talented students compete for the coveted "Voice of BHS" award at the Recording Arts Competition! Plus, I hear a certain baking BD teacher may hit the stage at intermission for a song or two!
