🔥 @BlackholeDex Update 🤝 After fielding dozens of questions from the community on my thread yesterday, here are some takeaways I’ve learned since then 🧵 I’ll cover: 👉 Understanding Epochs 👉 Voting Strategies 👉 Overlooked Nuggets 👉 Other Notes 🚫 First off though, note I’m not associated with the project, just a fan, and you should not treat this as official info, I could easily be misunderstanding key concepts as this is a brand new protocol 👨🏻‍💻 But here’s my take based on all available info at this time ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ⏳ About the Epochs 🔹“Epoch 0” is ongoing now, but it’s a kind of special launch Epoch that will last only 24 hours, first rewards apparently being claimable at the end of this period 🔹Epoch 1 and following will always be one week in duration, kicking off Thursdays at midnight UTC (Wednesday nights for Western Hemisphere, essentially) 🔹NOTE: Every Epoch has a period when you can’t vote or perform other functions 🔹This is the operations period and it begins one hour before the end of the Epoch, and lasts another one hour into the next Epoch ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🗳️ About Voting - here are at least three basic strategies, many will have more ideas and strategies ofc 1️⃣ Strategy One: Wait until the end of the Epoch— but not the very end, remember the operations period (as long as before the final hour) 🔹See what pools seem to be settling out as having the best rewards & incentives, and cast your vote then, as there’s no proration or time-weighting for votes within the Epoch based on the protocol’s design 🔹At least from taking a direct interpretation of the docs, and confirmation from Grok, it seems you get the same amount as if you had cast your vote at the start of the Epoch 2️⃣ Strategy Two: Vote early on your favorite pair(s) because this directs more emissions, deepens liquidity, boosts trading volume & fees, and actually puts your governance power to work for that pair 🔹Strategy Two is great for people who have high conviction on a particular token pair or pairs 🔹Note you can simply leave your vote on your favorite pair(s) at the start of the next Epoch and it will carry over without any action on your part 3️⃣ Strategy Three: Whale approach, accumulate 100k BLACK tokens 🔹Those who burn 100k or more BLACK tokens with their Supermassive veNFT unlock special superpowers 🔹If this seems out of reach, note that you can add your own BLACK rewards to your Supermassive position for a compounding effect at any time 🔹These mega-Supermassive holders (my term) get automatic smart-voting, a killer passive optimization with an algo selecting highest-yield pools for you 🔹Ultimate set-it-and-forget-it strategy if you have the means to get there 🤔 Share your strategies in the comments 🧵 Continued in Part 2 below
