Messaged @Audra_Martin today to apologize for my poor choice of words in a post directed to her last night. While we both have a slightly different version of how the event transpired, we agree that they don’t come any nicer than Royce and that’s the heart of the story!

It’s understood that Near Mint cards can have flaws, right? Like an indent does not mean it is now in excellent shape. PSA 8 is a thing for a reason. Too many raw buyers think PSA 9/10 or the card is a PSA 5.

Good. The fan base has Pohlad fatigue but there is still 15K too many in attendance.

Why make it a requirement to put in a description and declare a condition if the buyer is not required to read it? #eBay

💯 I loved the Twins. Hunter, Every Day Eddie, Mientkiewicz, Milton, Guzman…..I loved those years. We made the Wild Card to get stomped by the Yankees. Why? The Pohlads treated the Twins as a business. The Steinbrenners treated the Yankees as a hobby. They collected players.

I just received a message on eBay from a buyer asking me to decline their offer because they entered the wrong amount due to driving. 🤦‍♀️

I hear grading depending on what kind of day the grader is having. Umm. Sure. But more than likely you got a bad grade because you missed or overlooked the flaw. Or just hoped the grader would miss the flaws.

@MrKdub @AKABrewersBeat I find it interesting early today you posted something about making posts that resonate ideas in the hobby yet you try to correct the initial posts thoughts and feelings about Hobby behavior. He can be annoyed that people are purposely damaging cards to get low grades.

@AKABrewersBeat @WatchTheBreaks I would say this isn’t the “whole” hobby but a sliver of the tree that is the sports card hobby. People can do whatever they want with their cards, unfortunately, we have no control over that. Even a card as perfect as the 89 UD Griffey, is gonna find folks that want to misuse it

This is what the hobby has become. Deliberately destroying cards so people can get “rare” PSA 1s. This is the crap annoys me about the hobby. Someday the hobby will wake up and this poor conditioned card will be worthless like any other and someone will be out all they spent.

eBay messages are mind numbing. Getting a message of “best?” is a waste of time. “Can I get more pictures?” is lame. I wish eBay would bring back bulk blocks of whatever number feedbacks you want. And they should allow sellers to block certain words or phrases in messages.

The premise of eBay “buyers” are somewhere in the morality of “what is the least I have to do?” and “what is the most I can get away with?” Since eBay does very little to buffer the issues it continues to be a cesspool.
