@drewlevin @Verliswolf I’m curious as to what lead to the hard reset for soft reset decision. When I was polled I selected soft reset. Hence why this is annoying

@BFuller300 @Verliswolf sorry, what is the point of this question? are you interested in nitpicking our threshold? do you think we secretly wanted to throw out a bunch of data and make games worse? legit don’t understand what your goal is here.

Having diamond 4s in my masters games going against challenger players is not what we wanted. If the reset constituted only Apex level players then we would be fine. But these drastic ranges in player skill disparity is making this unplayable.

@Verliswolf @BFuller300 “Masters players wanted to fight it out among themselves” is the soft reset argument. Plenty of masters+ players wanted people they perceived as inflated out of masters and back into diamond. This will ultimately accomplish that, albeit painfully.

@drewlevin @Verliswolf However it’s not masters 0 lp players fighting other master 0 lp players. There are diamond players diamonds 4-1 who were not affected by this reset and are making way into these games. Why not have the matches exclusive to the elite level tiers?

This is why the reset is drawing fair criticism. Apex wanted the ladder to not be inflated by 1000LP and run it back, not have Emerald players in their games because that wasn't a consideration for the matchmaking band after a hard reset. The expectation was that the 0LPs would just brawl it out on a less inflated ladder

@HEXerathTV @drewlevin I agree with you. Better for the long term. Having 1k lp be the gm cutoff was not okay. I’m simply not a fan of the obvious team gap disparities.

@BFuller300 @drewlevin This is better for the long term for the ladder. To many people were inflated with the messed up mmr system of last split. If you are that worried of facing a challenger just wait couple weeks and you will be fine.

@BFuller300 Am I dumb or is this just a big self report. Omg my games are unplayable because of the range of player skill. Why are the skilled players still winning?

@DumLeaguePup I’m sorry that this happened to you. Having these high skill gap disparities is creating completely unfair matches. Hopefully soon it will balance out. I had a diamond player be matched up with rank 3 challenger player on the latter. It was really fun knowing that game was lost.

@BFuller300 I had a Masters 0 LP player in my diamond 4 game and he was ass please stay out of our low elo games >:(

@drewlevin That same system that can detect when players are absolutely pub stomping kids would detect players in these incredibly unfair lobbies.

@drewlevin I highly disagree. My first game on ( I started a couple days after the reset hoping to avoid this) I was met by rank 3 on the ladder on the enemy team. 2400 lp vs 140 lp. Your system has been good at detecting “smurfing” players in lobbies. I would hope that same system
