During PSHE lessons, Year 3 are learning about money. They are learning about how to pay for things and that there are different ways to pay for things. They have discussed wants and needs. #BHallPSYear3 #PSHE

As part of their History topic in Autumn 1, Year 3 learnt about the Vikings. This half term, Year 3 are learning about France in their Geography lessons.They are learning about the human and physical features in France. They enjoyed both topics. #BHallPSYear3 #History #Geography

As part of their Geography topic, Birmingham Landmarks, Year 2 vistied the city centre to locate the landmarks. We also went to @lego Discovery Centre to make the landmarks out of Lego. #BHallPSYear1and2 #georgraphy

On Monday, Year 4 had a visit from @WMFSSheldon to discuss fire safety. The children loved the sparks session and they learnt lots. One of our teachers also had the opportunity to dress up in the uniform. Thank you for visiting us @WMFSSheldon #BHallPSYear4 #PSHE #FireSafety

To celebrate International Artist's Day we have had a school wide competition with this year's theme 'Garden of Expression.' The children have really enjoyed interpreting the theme and creating their piece of art. Here are some of the entries. #BHallPSArt #ArtCompetition

In our school we live our values. We have 6 values: Respect, Unity, Resilience, Care, Honesty and Appreciation. On the outside of our classroom doors, we have created a display to celebrate one of the values. #BHallPSOurValues

This half term we had a TTRS launch day in Year 3 and 4. The children enjoyed a battle of the bands, playing games and designing their own rockstar. They also dressed up like a rockstar. #BHallPSYear3and4 #TTRS @TTRockStars

We LOVE to read at Blakesley Hall. We enjoy time in the library, Reading for Pleasure sessions and decorated our book corners. We are starting to share our favourite books from home in class reading scrapbooks too! Keep an eye out for your class reading scrapbook: COMING SOON!

Happy World Mental Health day! Today, we have spent time recognising our feelings and understanding mental health is just as important as physical health. We wrote about our feelings in Writing for Pleasure, practised mindful breathing and talked about emotions!

Today, year 4 visited Twycross Zoo. We had such a fantastic time. For some of our children, this was their first time visiting a zoo. They all really enjoyed it and they learnt lots of new facts. A great memorable experience. #BHallPSYear4 #TwycrossZoo #SchoolTrip
