Thank you Amanda and Ronnie from @bamukandireland and @PTFutures1 for hosting our Higher Engineering Science class at the #CrossTayLinkRoad project ( giving us the chance to see first hand and discuss a real engineering project. @DYWTayCities @BlairgowrieHS

@BlairgowrieHS S3 Engineering Science pupils have started to work on their bridge models. They've designed and tested using computer software, now they are constructing their scale models!

S3 Engineering Science classes have been learning about structures and examining stability using modelling materials.

@BlairgowrieHS S3 and S4 Practical Woodworking classes have been working hard. S3s are nearly completing their Spaghetti Measures while S4s have been refining their skills in Woodturning.

@BlairgowrieHS Our Level 6 Creative Thinkers have had a good start to the year. They have been using a range of collaborative techniques to investigate Circular Fashion. @be_daydream

Just in time for the change of timetable, S2 classes finished their PenPal projects. @BlairgowrieHS

Well done to our potential engineers. All of these S2s will be taking Engineering Science next year in S3.

Thank you to @brightgreenH2 for their excellent workshop with @BlairgowrieHS S3 Engineering Science pupils last week supported by @DYWTayCities. Pupils learnt about hydrogen as an emerging technology for domestic fuel and were able to electrolyse hydrogen from deionised water.

As part of a unit of work on Structures focussing on bridges, our S3 Engineers used themselves to demonstrate the cantilever principles of the Forth Bridge. @BlairgowrieHS

The S3 Graphics class have been trying pen rendering this week. They have really enjoyed learning how to render using a different media #graphics #graphiccommunication

Thanks to all the organisations who supported our Intro to Trades event. Our S2 group took part in fun and inspiring activities, demonstrating the breadth of  opportunities in trades and beyond. Special thanks to Rembrand Timber & Travis Perkins for supplying wood.@DYWTayCities
