The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that how a platform organizes content is protected editorial judgment. #HB227 bans "profile-based feeds" for minors. That's not regulating a feature — it's regulating speech. Kentucky courts will have to sort it out and it won't be cheap. #1A

States with CON programs have 8% higher premature mortality than states without them. Kentucky already ranks 7th worst in the nation for premature death. Our regulations are costing lives. #kyga26 #CONReform

Kentucky is the 28th state to opt in to the federal tax credit scholarship school choice program. Lawmakers overrode @GovAndyBeshear's veto. The program allows taxpayers to take federal credits against gifts to K-12 scholarship granting organizations. #HB1 #kyleg #KYGA26

Kentucky's regulatory code runs roughly 6.4 million words. That's nearly 8 times the length of the entire King James Bible. It would take 50 of this year's 60-day legislative session just to READ it once. Imagine complying with it. bluegrassinstitute.org/cj-reg-reform/

Good news! These new opportunities are funded through private gifts to scholarship granting organizations. More good news! The tax credit has the potential to bring millions of new dollars to education in Kentucky without harming Kentucky taxpayers at all. #HB1 #KYGA26

@BIPPS Funding private schools w/taxpayer money is not right. Taxes should only go to fund public school schools - frankly we should be funding them at a much higher rate than we are. Education is the economic engine of our society and we need to treat it that way. Invest in public ed.

Good news! Not a single penny from Boone County's school funding formula is under threat from this legislation. #HB1 #KYGA26

@BIPPS I pay school taxes in Boone County without a child in the system. I want my tax dollars staying with the public school system I live within. Otherwise it is completely unfair to people like me and we should be able to keep our tax money. Fund our public schools better.

From 1990-2022, real per-pupil funding more than doubled — rising 122% ($7,793 to $17,337) — yet NAEP test scores changed only modestly over the same period, with four tracked metrics (grades 4 and 8 reading and math) actually declining since 2013. bluegrassinstitute.org/k-12-in-kentuc…

This is funny. A hospital lobbyist is aghast that people call CONs a "competitor's veto." Then goes on to explain why his hospital system should be able to oppose (one might say veto) new entrants. ‘No such thing as a competitor’s veto’ and other arguments as Kentucky CON debate renews kentuckylantern.com/2026/03/10/no-…
