My desire as the Poet Laureate of the @CityofEdmonton is to hold all of our stories as sacred and find the intersection of poetry and life. Our city, our province, our world is raging and for many of us this reckoning extends beyond the confines of this past year, this pandemic.

It's exciting that @Aknowmadic is running to serve #Yeg and #tastawiyiniwak on city council. Ahmed is extremely dedicated to building spaces/opportunities that allow individuals to excel. He is a genuine community builder who values the arts, mental health and inclusion. #Yegcc
