The gym is really starting to take shape up for our BISCLP Mini Golf Maker Fair! We have bee themes, extreme weather, the 80's, and Chicago. @mit_nae@The_IPC@NAEducation
@BISCLPYear3, this series ties nicely into our learning about fossils. Each day this week, a new episode is streaming. My two favorite things: dinosaurs, and Sir David Attenborough - Mr. Collins
I'm not sure who was more excited by these visitors today - Me or the #mightymice ? We loved the crustacean surprise brought in by a parent in the foxes. The mice showed lots of Master Curiosity and were super respectful with these creatures! 💖 Miss Collins
"Wow this is so cool!" Big words from the #cheerfulchipmunks but also well deserved. It really was 'cool' as we closely observed a range of objects (seeds, feathers, glitter) under the microscope. Your curiosity impresses me every single week! @BISCLPReception Miss C ❤️
The children in @BISCLPYear4 LOVED their visit to @UrbanRiv with Nick. They learned a lot from his talk and all the questions they asked. We loved exploring the beginning of the boardwalk that is part of the #wildmile
The #spiritedspoonbills used food coloring to represent the 4 different blood types discovered by Karl Landsteiner in 1902. They then investigated which blood types were compatible depending on if they were the donor or recipient. @BISCLincolnPark
The wonderful Frankie from the #spiritedspoonbills was really showing her curiosity this week. She independently went to this drawing of the heart to observe and compare it to the 3d model. ❤️ @BISCLincolnPark
This week @BISCLPReception had the chance to explore a variety of electrical equipment to make bulbs light up and buzzers buzz! Amazing exploration! #rosyrobins
SUCCESS!! Amy and Elly successfully created a battery to light an LED bulb using copper, zinc washers, and paper soaked in vinegar. They had to test the voltage using multimeters in order to determine if more cells were needed. #spiritedspoonbills@BISCLincolnPark
During their STEAM learning this week with Mr Collins the #resilientraccoons were inspired by Year 6’s wired circuit games. They wanted to develop their understanding of circuits and further investigate creating their own @BISCLPSTEAM@BISCLincolnPark
@BISCLPYear6 have had an incredible hands-on start to their unit on body systems. We look at a cow's heart and showed great respect when examining a chicken's heart. We learned just how they work, and marveled at just what the heart does! @The_IPC@mit_nae@NAEducation
I am so proud of the effort the #seasonedseahorses showed whilst creating their magnet games. Next term we will take them to @BISCLPReception to play! Keep it up the great work seahorses. Miss C ♥️ @BISCLPYear3
Hero super drink, yes please! The #DaringDeer class are celebrating the end of their topic ‘To The Rescue’ with some healthy hero power smoothies. What would you put in your drink? #exitpoint@The_IEYC@BISCLincolnPark#energy
