It’s 11 PM in Dearborn, Michigan, and the Muslim call to prayer is blasting again. A local resident says people are forced to listen to it five times a day, from 5 AM until 11 PM. Do you support banning the call to prayer? A. Yes B. No

Everything is dark and without form until God breathes out the words, “Let there be light.” In an instant, everything changes. The light pierces the darkness, and what was once invisible is now seen clearly. This is what God’s Spirit does. He is always near—bringing light to what was once covered in darkness. The Holy Spirit is available to anyone who becomes a follower of Jesus, empowering them to live out the calling God has placed on them.   And what has Jesus called His followers to do? To love God, love others, and make disciples.  Jesus’ first disciples wanted Him to stay and restore the kingdom of Israel. But in Acts 1, Jesus hints that His Kingdom wasn’t what they were imagining. His Kingdom would continue throughout history by the power of the Holy Spirit and the continual testimony of His disciples.  The Holy Spirit is a gift from our heavenly Father that helps us live in a way that honors God and reflects His character. When we allow the Holy Spirit to shape us, He transforms the ways we think and act.  It’s the Holy Spirit who empowers us to make Jesus known throughout the world.  For this reason, living a Spirit-filled life requires intentionally seeking God every day. It’s through intentional time with God that we discover how to make disciples. Then, as we go through life, the Holy Spirit will help us joyfully and boldly make Jesus known to the people He places around us. He will give us the insight, discernment, and courage we need to show Jesus’ love to others. So right now, take a few moments and thank Jesus for the gift of His Holy Spirit. Then, invite the Holy Spirit to come and change the way you think and act. Spend some time in silent reflection, and allow the Holy Spirit to bring to mind one or two people that you can share Jesus’ love with today.

The day I have been dreading for 5 years has come. Today I must go back to court to request my No Contact Order against my abusive ex husband remains in place. He could show up to argue against me too. I will undoubtedly receive some kind of personal retribution for even daring to request a hearing too. But of course, that will never stop me. I would appreciate the prayer coverage and support, however 🙏 I need justice and a boomerang today.

Being in the MAJORITY does NOT happen by accident in American politics. A White House majority. A Senate majority. A House majority. That alignment is RARE. The American people gave Republicans that power in 2024 for ONE reason: They wanted President Trump to have the ability to execute his final term agenda without constant obstruction. Voters knew exactly what they were doing. After years of border chaos, inflation, cultural insanity, weak leadership and weaponized institutions, Americans handed Republicans the political capital to actually govern. But today, Republicans keep acting like they’re the minority party. Some of these politicians KNOW what it’s like when Democrats control power. Democrats steamroll their agenda. They pressure holdouts. They enforce party discipline. They move aggressively. They use every ounce of institutional leverage available. Meanwhile Republicans get the majority and immediately start negotiating against themselves. Every time there’s a major fight: - a few cave - a few panic over media headlines - a few suddenly become “concerned moderates” - and Democrats end up getting leverage they never earned at the ballot box That is NOT what voters gave Republicans power to do. The American people did not vote for a Republican majority so it could behave like an apologetic consulting firm terrified of confrontation. They voted for RESULTS. A majority means USING power. Not borrowing it temporarily before surrendering it back to the minority. @LeaderJohnThune, the people are tired of you acting like you're a minority leader.
