What a finish in yesterday’s 5A Boys State Cross Country race! Claremore’s Carter Gibson edges out Bishop Kelley’s Eli Horeled by ONE HUNDREDTH of a second for the Class 5A Boys Individual Championship! Credit: Rodrigo Solis (Telemundo Oklahoma)

This marks the 11th State Championship in program history and is the first time winning back-to-back since 1975-76. @BKGirlsXC also won the 5A State Championship on the girls side giving the Comets a sweep for the second consecutive season.

He was followed by All-Staters Sebastian Quiroz (7th), Jack Wrobleski (14th), Isaac Horeled (18th), Landon Woolley (19th), Hoyt Coffey (44th), and Sam Anderson (45th).

@BKGirlsXC won the 5A State title as well marking the first time that both teams swept the top step of the podium in school history. Thank you to all of the BKXC supporters who made the trip to OKC to cheer on the Comets. ❤️⛽️

5A STATE CHAMPS! The Comets were led by medalist Eli Horeled (2nd), Charlie Ritchie (5th), Isaac Horeled (10th), and Rowan Meyers (11th). Jack Wrobleski rounded out the scoring just missing medalist honors (16th), followed by Ethan Perkins (31st), and Sebastian Quiroz (45th).
