Another @StubHub horror story @ScottFriedman3. Before flying back to Boston to visit my parents and see a World Cup game I bought tickets to as a Christmas present Iwas told by a friend the tickets I purchased in DECEMBER might be at risk of being unfulfilled based on his experience. I contacted customer support about 4 weeks before the game, and was assured that FIFA just hadn’t released the tickets and I would receive them, or they would find similar tickets per their “guarantee” I flew home, made plans to head to the stadium, and 2 days before the game logged into my account to see the word “cancelled” under my order. No email, no text, no phone call, nothing….they just cancelled the order. I contacted customer support and was simply told my refund was being processed and there was nothing they could do. They didn’t even attempt to find replacement tickets (picture in next tweet)

Final update: We never got our tickets. No replacement either, despite StubHub’s FanProtect Guarantee. Imagine if my dad had gone to the stadium hoping they’d arrive—he would’ve missed the game. After a week of calls and chats, all we got was “it’s being investigated” before they ended the chat. #StubHub @StubHub @FIFAcom @FIFAWorldCup
