Absolutely perfect example to illustrate what the streaming/broadcast landscape has become as well as the varied levels of planning that go into neutral-site games.

Incredibly proud of these guys.
Thrilled for Fish, Pat and everyone at @usahockey.
Also happy for Kenny Albert that he got to call a gold-medal win. He was outstanding.

The way #Broncos HC Sean Payton handled the Bo Nix injury news felt like a masterclass in a situation like that.
* He stayed calm and opened with a joke: “I love you guys so much I wanted to come back.” (He already spoke to reporters 30 minutes prior.)
* He then delivered the news clearly, with all the details.
* He immediately emphasized that Jarrett Stidham is ready to go — building his confidence and signaling to fans, this is the guy (don’t speculate elsewhere).
* Payton talked about his conversation with Bo Nix after learning the injury and dropped another joke — “I wouldn’t have drafted you” — again loosening the mood.
* He made it clear he wanted to announce the news himself, even before telling the entire team, because there was no chance it wouldn’t leak and cause panic: “In essence, I’m talking to the team now.”
* Once again, he reinforced full confidence in Stidham: “He’s ready… just watch. Here we go.”
I don’t know how many people care about this stuff, but it really caught my attention. Considering the circumstances, I thought it was very well done.
