Hello everyone. If you’re a member of the BLAB group on Meetup, you will have received an email to say we’re closing down on Meetup. This doesn’t mean BLAB is gone for ever but as it’s been 9 years since BLAB 19 we don’t see the need to keep Meetup going.

After an 8 year break, we’re coming back this June. More details of BLAB 20 coming soon.

I’ve a question… We’re starting to plan a return of @BLABTalks this year. Since #BLAB19 8 years ago the cost of running an event has increased. So we’re interested to hear what would you be happy to pay for an evening speaker event, with 2 speakers from the creative industry?

I plan on bringing back @BLABTalks this year. Does anyone have any recommendations for a venue in Manchester? Needs to cater for 150-200ish people (ideally seated), has a great Audio/Visual set up and most importantly… a bar.

#BLAB20 is going to happen this year. There… we’ve said it. So, any recommendations for Manchester venues? Has to be able to cope with up to 200 creatives (you know how they can be), have a stage, AV set up, PA system and most importantly… a bar.

Hello everyone, hope you’re all well. Time to start planning our return after 6 years away. BLAB 20 was meant to be May last year but something buggered that right up, so we do still have a speaker line-up. We’re in the need of venue recomm though, if you have any? #BLAB20

6 years ago today was our last @BLABTalks, with @danhett and Merlin Nation (best name ever). Can’t believe it’s been that long. We will be back!

Hello. #BLABSocial was planned for the end of this month. In light of the current situation, we’re going to postpone this till summer. #BLAB20 was also in planning for May. This will be put back till further notice. Rest assured though, BLAB is coming back. Stay safe everyone.

Let’s get together for the first #BLABSocial on Thu 26 Mar at @FDNCoffee Northern Quarter. BLAB Social picks up where the old Northern Digitals left off. It’s simply a meet up for the creative community. No talks, no agenda, just drinks, chats and if you like… Networking.

Right then, how’s everyone’s diary looking in March? Should we all get together on the 19th or 26th for a drink and chat at the first #BLABSocial?

What are your thoughts on a get together like the old Northern Digitals nights. A BLAB Social? No speakers, no agenda, no name badges, just a meet-up, a get together in a place in town, on a Thursday night.

Really sad to hear the passing of a true design legend, Vaughan Oliver. Vaughan spoke at BLAB 10 for us, along side Peter Saville. An absolute pleasure to be around, no hint of ego and great to talk to, especially over a pint. What a night that was, what a sad day today is.
