@JackoRcb Also, lashing out at players for mistakes isn’t called for. Nothing Jacko said was an attack, he was simply stating the rules and advocating for everyone in attendance. Can’t disregard everyone else who didn’t get that treatment. Even Jacko didn’t get his ft3 with killakilla

@JackoRcb Yeah, I have to agree with Jacko here. The rules are clearly stated. Sometimes people misspeak or get it wrong. Mistakes happen, it’s only human. Thats why the rules are written prior to the event incase of such things. Sometimes it’s best to just take the L and move on.

Don’t Sweat The Technique
I can tell you in every single Choya Cup prior it’s never been that way and the rules state that every match BEFORE Winners, Losers, and Grand FINALS is 2/3. There’s basically an admittance as to why Tricky wanted to bend the rules to her benefit because it’s “advantageous”.

@RentalAnimator I believe it’ll be a nerf to evade cancelling, despite how it is written (in both languages) haha. But it’ll be interesting to see what really happens hahaha Buffing evade cancelling would be a really “interesting” change hahahahaha

Wait... does this mean you can not cancel Evading until you spend 13 frames??? or you get longer window of canceling evading ???? Japanese players are confused as well even in Japanese sentences 🤪

@BLACKALERT111 That what I was noticing. The 6KK +2 imo is huge. I will miss 9K+KK but I was worried about FL2K because of add recovery because that's Sarah best and because 3K+G is was very unreliable because ecd block negates that move (highest lol of play). Sad the sabaki got nerf....

@Chanchai_VF I agree, but i feel timing is equally important in tekken. Even though it’s a slower game bad timing can easily equal 2/3 or more of your life gone. Which is why tekken preferably is played on a lower risk/higher reward when available. Spacing too, but works a little differently.

@BLACKALERT111 In VF, the timing becomes really important—but, after a lot of the mixup fundamentals have pushed the players into the realm of risk/reward and discerning which hits to take in pursuit of bigger rewards…. at that point, the players start playing more reactive —> timing fights.

@Chanchai_VF Thanks. I see so many players assume the VF triangle system to be the defining differences between the games. Where in actuality The real differences are Tekken’s safe backdash, reactable throws, and not having nitaku - granting delayed decisions in tekken, and forced in VF.

@koenjideck …rules and confusing the triangle system which is just principles of RPS and how decision making works in a match. The real defining differences are Tekken having a safe backdash, reactable throws, and not having nitaku which grants delayed decisions, Whereas VF its the opposite

@koenjideck … block and then react. But this doesn’t mean an attempt wasn’t made. Basically in Tekken if my defence is too strong, a throw is an option my opponent might try to gain dmg and beat my defence. I think the problem i am seeing tekken players assume VF is strict on these…

@koenjideck Outside of catch grabs in VF and DOA, what you are saying applies the same to all of 3d fighters. Tekken is not uniquely alone to that. Regardless, if you’re trying to beat throw, ducking backdash, attacking wins. These are core principles of 3d fighters. Throws beat Just block.

@BLACKALERT111 Throws do not directly beat block in Tekken; a player can practice nullifying that part of the triangle. Also, whether or not a strike beats a throw is completely dependent on the frames of the interaction, which is not the case for DOA or VF outside of special grabs/holds
