On Friday’s I try to make rehab more fun by letting athletes pick some of their favorite exercises. Today I gave an athlete a choice between two exercises and asked which they like better. Their deadpan response, “I mean I wouldn’t say I LIKE any of them.” 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Huge shoutout to FGCU facilities, athletics communications, sports medicine, & support staff. In the midst of a busy crossover season, they hosted 10 beach volleyball games, 10 softball games, a baseball series, tennis match & postseason basketball games this weekend. Thank you.

HEARTWARMING: When Damar Hamlin was in tears while presenting the Pat Tillman Award to the #Bills training staff for saving his life. ❤️💙 Hamlin got to live & continue to play, and is now about to voted as the AFC Pro Bowl safety. Remarkable.

@morris_atc Formally 2-5 on average. Then add practices and popping into lift. Adding travel is a whole different ball game

Adding to this conversation, ATs how many hours per day/week to you think you spend with each patient? I see my Soldiers at least 1-2 hours a week for formal appointments. But then I check in every morning at PT workouts, and see them at their place of duty throughout the day

@MC_the_AT And I can honestly say having done this lab I felt much more confident and comfortable the first time I had to obtain a rectal temp on a patient. 2/2

Wait wait wait. How am I just now finding out that there are programs that require students to do rectal temps on themselves for a grade… that they wouldn’t pass the class if they didn’t do it… wtf

@MC_the_AT In my grad program we did a lab where we tested several methods of assessing temperature for accuracy including rectal temps on ourselves. We took a temp, did a workout, & took another temp. I was never forced to do it or threaten with failing if I didn’t feel comfortable. 1/2
