Some personal news. Very happy to have finished chemotherapy today. There is lots of other treatment to come but it’s a great milestone.

Brilliant to have worked with @CityWestminster and community organisations on this project to make safeguarding information accessible to communities by translating it in several community languages
London Tigers@London_Tigers

Safeguarding leaflets in key languages are essential to reach communities & resident especially parents and carers of our young people we work with. Ensuring safeguarding information reaches those communities & they are able to understand @CityWestminster @LDN_VRU @MayorofLondon

What an unforgettable night celebrating International Women's Day! 🌙✨ Our iftar gathering for women was a beautiful blend of generations, where we shared delicious potluck dishes, spiritual reminders, and meaningful conversations. The evening was filled with love & laughter.

This week, in honor of FGM Zero Tolerance Day, our health advocates did incredible work both online and in person with Somali, Arab, Ethiopian, and Eritrean-speaking communities. Together, they’re working towards making female genital mutilation a part of history.

Fantastic session at the Iranian Association yesterday. They are delivering our healthy lifestyle courses with funding from ⁦@ImperialCharity. Everyone was so engaged, exchanging tips on different exercises they have been trying.

Our health advocacy project funded by the National Lottery is doing great work mitigating some of the issues raised. But a long term sustainable solution is needed.

I’m proud of the small role the BME Health Forum had in this programme with conversations about the systemic problems faced by people who don’t speak fluent English accessing NHS services. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…

It is fantastic news that this trial on prostate cancer screening is happening. It is essential that black men are recruited into this trial in sufficient numbers considering they are twice as likely to develop prostate cancer as white men.
Prostate Cancer UK@ProstateUK

Introducing the TRANSFORM trial. A £42 million research programme, led and developed by us and backed by £16 million of government funding. It's the biggest and most ambitious prostate cancer trial in 20 years. 👉 Find out more: bit.ly/3SInU51
