I see another former player who "didnt want to leave" coming out with absolute revisionism. Agent told the club he wanted £300k plus bonuses a week, or he wouldnt sign. So club said no, and withdrew the offer. But yeah, "i always wanted to stay, and couldnt undetstand why they withdrew the offer" Cup winner maybe, but also went missing in huge ammount of games and never deserving of anywhere close to what he wanted with his injury record (circumstances)
