ESPN Sources: Offensive Player of the Year and Super-Bowl champion Jaxon Smith-Njigba reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension that now makes him the highest-paid WR in NFL history. @BMoreSZN If they pick up his 5yr option, that's set by the NFL and I believe it's 27-28M. He wouldn't have a choice in that because it's still his rookie contract
As far as an extension, agree it's > $30M. He's prob already earned that now. By next year, could be 35M

People don't like the optics of WR1 being 5'9", and he's had some frustrating mental errors. I get it
But this is exactly the kind of production you want from your WR1. Especially in an offense that was dead last in pass attempts in 2025 and 31st in 2024

@dltbmoreesq Very few people that say they love Zay will say they are willing to pay him 30mil+. So it starts to question how much do you rly love Zay then? I agree tho, we have to re sign him but our hand will most likely be forced to pay him above 30mil/yr. Especially with current WR room.

The media's idea of wr1 is misconstrued. Target share, volume & being 1st in mind for designed plays is wr1. Zay deserves that. He's one of the best playmakers. Winning 1-on-1, he's one of the best. His best ball is still ahead of him.
