@geola388 @Waubaugh Having feelings opinions about them not paying and why is totally valid. Saying they won’t b/c they’re cheap is just disingenuous because they have paid. Just like the reasons why they didn’t pay don’t matter just the result matters, I’m showing the same energy when they did pay

@BMorrison1016 @Waubaugh That was forced. Up until that point, OKC was very stingy. Instead of being ahead of the game, they reacted. The point of it is when it makes sense to pay it, they don’t. If you’re not going to pay for a team that just won, when do you? That should be the question

Yes, fans tend to overlook these extensions but I also understand why they don’t care 90% of the new arena is being funded by tax payers People don’t want to hear ownership refusing to spend money on a championship window. I’m not saying OKC should’ve spent on Lu but it’s the principle
Michele Berra@MikyBerra

I think most people don’t remember that, over three years, Okc signed to extension: - Shai - JDub - Chet - IHart - Caruso. So, yeah, they committed to pay for the top 5 players on their roster max or premiere salary for the position. Not cheap. 1/

@geola388 You don’t want the same construction for 5-6 years anyway. You should cycle out pieces. Jordan’s bulls cycled out pieces between 3peats as it got expensive & stale. Teams building on the fly or cashing in all their movable assets get burned. Even SA has traded assets but not OKC

@BMorrison1016 Again, I am not fixated on Joe and Wiggins. Look 1,2 and 3 years ahead and the extensions. This is what I am looking at. Get off Joe and Wiggins bro lol I don't care about those guys like that

“The system works just fine” - yeah - you say that when your team is trash. That’s 80-90% of the league. OKC getting punched in the mouth for drafting well or signing clever free agents is not the “system working fine”
Nate Jones@JonesOnTheNBA

If the worst thing that comes from apron + tax penalties is that OKC can’t hoard Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins types, I think the system is working just fine. I would rather see Joe playing 30 mins a night in Detroit in the playoffs than playing 11 per night with some DNP-CDs.

@geola388 Paying Hart & leaving the big decision of the summer on Dort (who could be expendable b/c his play slipped) is all good management. The CBA makes it all a money issue but all of the choices being made are roster moves. This isn’t BOS or DEN not keeping championship cores together

@BMorrison1016 You’re looking at the cap. My over arching point is punishing organizations that are well run. I’m speaking to the CBA and its rules. It’s a disadvantage to OKC. That’s the point I’m making. Maybe I wasn’t CLEAR enough lol (don’t write caps bro 😂 that’s fighting language haha)

@geola388 They had to drop 2 people if they were going to use the draft picks, regardless of the apron stuff. Why is that NOT the point?

El mejor formato posible para el Mundial sería uno de 48 equipos donde ganar el grupo te clasificara a Octavos Y se cruzaran los segundos contra los terceros para ver quién avanza a Octavos No es tan difícil arreglar el formato

@CadesAttorney @Tchhala007 And NYK don’t win G 1-2 w/out KAT. SGA got some help to get it to G7 (Caruso & McCain were huge to go up 3-2) & Brunson’s G5 is equal to SGAs G7 in trying to carry the team to the finish line but Brunson got WAY more help and less insane coverages than SGA

@Tchhala007 With how crucial OG was in the finals. If he's missing I don't see it. If KAT is ghost and not rebounding. I don't see it. If a key piece like shamet is missing I don't see it.

@ctxlken @cbouzy Wemby didn’t have 3 uncalled flagrant in 5 games & didn’t land under Brunson & Hart on 3s? Castle & Bryant didn’t take runs from the 3pt line at Knicks (like Brunson)? Spurs played in the mud, they were so dirty & Brunson was classy the whole way through

@LifeOfMoore @DaigMuse @TeezySooSkep Of course it benefitted them, just like it benefits every team. SAS played with a compromised Fox and unhealthy Harper & it affected them losing the finals. But they were more playable than Dub/Ajay & helped them win the WCF

@BMorrison1016 @DaigMuse @TeezySooSkep You really just don’t wanna acknowledge the same things okc benefited from last year is the same thing that happened to them this year that contributed to a lost ? Lmfaooo . You legit can’t argue that .

@LifeOfMoore @DaigMuse @TeezySooSkep See how you’re moving the goalposts. When I show you how unhealthy OKC was last year, now it’s “but they were injured AND unavailable”, even if both guys did play in the G7s in question. OKC got to G7 w/Dub & AJay missing 5 games each. Not even the same

@cbouzy I don’t have a dog in this fight, but if the other team had multiple times in the game tried to send me to the hospital with uncalled flagrant fouls rather than win with integrity, I might not shake hands with them.

@telmarine @NBA_NewYork There’s no discretion though. What if I was from France, wanted to see Wemby in the Finals but my credit card address means they took the ticket I rightfully bought away. That’s not cool, no matter how you spin it

@NBA_NewYork The whole purpose of home-away formats is so each team can share in home field advantage games. If San Antonio was the one with deep pockets via cartels or oil tycoon money buying out seats, the Knicks be doing the same thing. Fair is fair.

@Broncosfan2121 @BaileyCarlin You still have to be in position to take advantage of the lapses. OKC lost 2 crunch time games to SAS and really could’ve taken G1 in 1OT w/ better execution. NYK have been just about picture perfect w/ games on the line. They deserve their flowers for that

“The spurs are blowing it more than the Knicks are winning it!” The Knicks have won 14/15 games. They are playing historic basketball. They have lost once in the last 50 days. What are we even doing here?

But no impact since it was a grab and then moved him out the way. You need all three to meet the criteria for a flagrant, not just 1-2 of them. Unnecessary contact, impact and follow through. Which is also why it wasn’t a flagrant when castle ran into Brunson, there was unnecessary contact, there was impact, but no follow through = not a flagrant. Those are the rules of the game, like it or not.

No flagrant upgrade on the uncalled foul of Spurs' Victor Wembanyama to Knicks' Jalen Brunson on Monday night, a league spokesperson tells ESPN. Wembanyama will stay at two flagrant points in postseason.
