BOGS Meeting 2023

Session 7 was on Novel Biomarker Proxies and we had some fantastic talks on some really diverse themes: from Mars to Madagascar! With that the #BOGS23 talks have concluded and we are blown away the quality of all - now we have some lab tours and our ECR event🧪

Session 6 was on Paleoclimates and Paleoenvironments and we heard about everything from seabird vomit (a running theme at Durham) to ancient phytoplankton. A really excellent session - well done to all speakers! #BOGS2023

Our conference dinner was held in Hatfield College and preceded by a poster session with some pretty great views of Durham #BOGS2023

We also had flash talks from our poster presenters - a lot of knowledge was crammed into 1 minute! #BOGS2023

Session 2, on #BiogeochemicalCycles, brought us from the UK to the tropics and back looking at peatlands and organic carbon in catchments #BOGS2023 @GeogDurham
