BOOM connected with national partner Music To Life to deliver the PGH Musician Changemaker Accelerator Workshop a Emerald City. The partnership brought hands-on training for Pittsburgh-based musicians to create and deliver sustainable, music-driven social change programs.

We introduced BOOM's new permanent home which will be at the Rotunda on N. Negley Ave! Renovations are underway and you can read our latest up date HERE. BOOM will continue to operate its home base at 5139 Penn Ave but is running tours on First Friday's which started in November.

2025 was a great step forward for BOOM. From career development sessions to hosting national artists through our residency program, BOOM continued dedicating its time to supporting the local and national arts ecosystems with more critical growth opportunities for artists.

As 2025 comes to a close, @BOOMConcepts inches close to moving into its new home. So if you haven’t been to the home base in a while, haven’t been on Penn Ave in a while, 2026 is the time to do it.

@shiftworkspgh This opportunity is open to any artist who lives and works in the 13-county region of SW PA. The final mural design should celebrate the history of music in The Hill District and its impact, past and present. The budget for this project is $50,000 (includes $10,000 artist fee)

BOOM supported multiple resident artists, local and national, along with an exhibition at Emerald City and various community connections with our Bloomfield Garfield neighbors and partners like @radianthallpgh this year.

Since October 2024 to October 2025, BOOM Concepts has paid out $22,000 in artists fees and contracted services not including negotiated contracts for other artists and partnered work paid directly to participants in associated programs.
