"Nobody wants to stay in a home that isn’t healthy," Benjamin Oyamendan, NDC HoR aspirant for Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituency, explains why he left PDP and Labour Party to join the NDC. “I joined the PDP in 2003 when I was still in secondary school," he added. #SunriseDaily

Six-Point Agenda for Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituency. As the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) @NigeriaNDCHQ for the House of Representatives, I will focus on the following six key priorities if given the ticket and elected. 1. Child Support and Protection. I will immediately propose and sponsor a comprehensive Child Support Bill for children under 18 years. This legislation will ensure adequate legal protection, financial support, and welfare for children, particularly those from vulnerable and broken homes, to secure their future and reduce child poverty in our constituency and Nigeria. 2. Effective Representation and Voice of the People. I will serve as the authentic voice of Esan North East and Esan South East by consistently presenting the local needs, challenges, and aspirations of our people to the Federal Government. Through regular town halls, feedback mechanisms, and direct engagement, I will ensure that our constituency’s issues receive the attention and intervention they deserve at the national level. 3. Oversight and Accountability of Government Institutions. I will stand firm in scrutinizing the activities of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to promote accountability, transparency, and the proper implementation of the national budget. This will include exposing waste, corruption, and inefficiency while ensuring that projects and funds allocated to our federal constituency are fully executed. 4. Vocal Participation in National Budget Process. I will be very vocal and proactive in the review and approval of the annual national budget presented by the Executive. I will fight for increased allocations to critical sectors such as education, healthcare, roads, agriculture, and youth development, with specific benefits for Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituency. 5. Active Committee Engagement and Legislative Work. I will actively participate in standing and special committees of the House to thoroughly examine bills, conduct investigations on national issues, and produce reports that serve the best interest of Nigerians. This will enable me to contribute meaningfully to quality law-making and problem-solving at the federal level. 6. Peace Building and Industrial Harmony. I will intervene in industrial disputes and labour-related conflicts while promoting sustainable peace within our constituency and across the nation. By fostering dialogue between stakeholders, government, and communities, I will help create a stable environment conducive to investment, economic growth, and harmonious coexistence. This Six-Point Agenda will guide my legislative focus, ensuring I deliver effective representation, good governance, and tangible development to the people of Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituency. Together, we can build a better future.

We said goodbye to my wife’s grandmother, who passed on at the age of 87. 💔 She lived a long life filled with wisdom, strength, love, and memories that will remain with the family forever. Her presence was a blessing, and her legacy will continue through the generations she nurtured. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. 🕊️

Dear @NigeriaNDCHQ and my fellow #NDC crusaders. In Nigerian politics, there are many years when nothing truly changes. Every election cycle follows the same familiar pattern. Promises made, hopes deferred, and the people left waiting. But that era is about to end. Everything is about to change at once. I am seeking for Ticket to represent the good people of Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituency of Edo State AGBAZILO at the Green Chamber under the banner of our great party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). Let us all come together, without hate, bitterness, or division, but with love, compassion, unity, and competence. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous future for our people. The time for change is now. God bless Esanland. God bless Edo State. God bless the NDC. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It is childish behaviour for anyone to say “I will stop supporting Peter Obi” just because the NDC has given Mr. Benjamin Mayor Oyamendan the House of Representatives ticket to run with him. We often allow emotions to becloud our judgement and sense of reasoning in politics. That’s normal because we are only humans. But I have been here long enough to understand how these things work. Please, don’t abandon Peter Obi because you dislike my face. Instead, I urge you all to channel that same energy and passion into your respective grassroots for his campaign. We still have more than 26 APC-controlled states to penetrate. Let’s shun social media bullying and embrace love and unity. Happy Sunday to you all 🙏

This you? If you secure NDC ticket for HoR, I will stop supporting Obi. On no acct should that ticket be given to you, much less of voting for you in the election. You’re nothing, but an opportunist, but your game done cut already. All of you who jumped ship post-2023, will not receive any support from us this time around.

Information is a powerful tool, yet some people rush to throw insults and pour venom without getting the facts right. Let me be clear. I have never insulted my elders and never will. I only quoted a now-deleted post filled with defamatory accusations simply because I supported my dear elder brother Asue Ighodalo, who was from the right region to govern Edo State. Sometimes the truth is bitter, but it must be told, Olumide Akpata’s candidacy was a distraction. The Edo election brought unnecessary division among brothers and sisters on this app. Your movement is not a political party. I am a member of NDC because it is a political party. If I meet the requirements and secure the HoR ticket, I will prove you all wrong with results. For the record. The claim that I won an election under Labour Party and jumped ship is completely false. I didn’t even get the LP ticket, and I am not a member of the House of Representatives. Politics is beyond emotions. It’s about numbers, strategy, and capacity to deliver. If we truly want Peter Obi to succeed, we must urgently get to work and galvanize at the grassroots, especially in Edo State because there is a hell of a lot of work to be done on the ground. Let’s shun hate, embrace peace, and show love to one another. Enough of the division. Time to focus on the real task ahead.
