The Reception team would like to wish you and your families a peaceful and happy Easter.

We watched an exciting experiment this afternoon.

We found that making repeating patterns round a shape was fun and a little tricky.

Two girls made a shapes picture. “It’s the time of day when the sun and moon are out at the same time” “it’s at the nearly night time”

This week we said a sad farewell to Fidget ( Black and Tan) the guinea pig that, with her sister has been a feature of the school for six years. Both arrived a tiny babies and were never happier than when the children were around.

I have made a personal helicopter. “Why is it a personal helicopter?” It’s just for me 🤣🤣

This afternoon we found a different box of construction. Having made a fishing rod this creative young man made himself a fish to catch.

The children noticed that the bulbs were planted a little while ago are growing and that they all look different.

Painting houses. “We keep having to get more water because it disappears in the air”

This morning I made a repeating pattern AND I used 3 colours.

Six today. Happy Birthday Rosie and Fidget.💕

The children have been reading a book about time. Some decided to make watches.

This week in maths we have been finding out about the parts of a whole number. In our continuous provision the children have been using the small parts to make the parts of a whole face.

Odd socks day in Early Years, the children have been thinking about how to celebrate differences and how to spread kindness!

It may be raining outside but we are having fun weaving on cooling racks.

For black history month we have read Floella Benjamin’s book about coming to England. We are each making something to brighten up the carnival we are having at the end of the week. #billingshursthistory

In Wales class we have been exploring making pictures with our 2D shapes. We made dinosaurs and even made a person on a skateboard. #billingshurstmaths
