Some of them or most of them, yeah. I'm also a computer science student and got lucky cause I went after niche stuff instead of software engineering, but eventually I want to be one or something close. But there are still jobs in tech, like legacy systems like COBOL and many more, but they are just not lucrative.

@mistressdivy Tech degrees are gonna be as useless as art degrees soon. Your best bet now is other STEM fields, law or finance.

I graduated from undergrad last week, I think there were about 1000 CS students about to graduate, which was crazy. No wonder it's hard to find jobs; my school was a mid size state school. Now imagine the other schools. I'm glad enrollment is declining because it's oversaturated right now.

@noahreeveshq Use ai, right now I’m coding and practicing manually and doing projects. If I find an error or an error happen somewhere and I can’t fix it ask Ai.

How do new devs learn how to code now? Back in the day, it was constantly looking up errors, checking documentation, scrambling your brain trying to understand why the app isn’t working. It was tedious difficult and unbelievably frustrating, but when you figured it out, you never forgot. But now that AI solves 99% of errors, are they even learning anything? I find that I’m learning a little bit but that’s because I have a foundation and I ask questions about new things the AI introduces. But because I didn’t struggle emotionally, there’s not many memories I have of any “learning lessons” or engineering best practices these days. Can anyone share their experience as a recent new dev?
