The longer the Iran war goes on, the more China suffers. Everyone would like the war to end quickly. But the negative impact on China can't be ignored.

@APompliano "Justify" refers to proving, explaining, or making an action or decision seem reasonable, right, or necessary. This reads like a justification to me.

This is insane. A New York City police officer conducted a drug bust on a known criminal. The criminal tried to flee the scene on a scooter, so the officer deployed a non-lethal weapon (threw a cooler at him) in an honest attempt to stop the suspect. The suspect died, which is unfortunate, but now the officer has been sentenced to 3-9 years in prison. That alone would be ridiculous. The judge took it a step further and explicitly said the aggressive sentence was meant to be a deterrent to other police officers. For what? For stopping criminals from committing crimes? The hardworking men and women of the NYPD deserve better than this. They risk their lives every day to protect innocent citizens from drugs and violent criminals. Activist judges who abuse their position of power over politics should be removed from office as well.

@BRS37 @APompliano This asshole gave half a dozen months to a 19 yrs old who beat a homeless to death. And then years to a cop doing his job. What would you call him is not activist?!

@BRS37 @APompliano Given this sort of ruling, if I was a cop in NYC I'd be considering retirement - and if I was a young person I'd definitely not be looking at a career in law enforcement. Why put the noose around your own neck?

@SambiSambo @Jpm524 @APompliano Which has never happened in America thank god. Change the laws so they can’t be interpreted in a manner that offends you. Don’t blame well educated and well respected individuals from doing their job…which is to interpret and apply the laws in place.

@Jpm524 @APompliano That’s not how our legal system (that has been functioning quite well for 250 years) works sir. I’m sorry you don’t like the ruling but the courts don’t bow to public opinion. Change the law not the judge. That’s how it works.

@APompliano I don’t think we do agree actually. Encouraging the idea of removing judges who you don’t agree with is dangerous to the American system of government Anthony. Change the laws if you don’t agree with how judges are interpreting them. That’s how the system works

@BRS37 Well, I am just using the definition in the dictionary, so not sure what other definition there is. But I am glad we agree this judge is an activist. Now you are starting to see one of the challenges with fixing these types of situations.

@APompliano All judges have discretion in sentencing. If that’s the definition you’re using….every judge is an activist.

@BRS37 An activist is “a person who campaigns to bring about political or social change.” That is the objective definition of what the judge is doing in their own words.

I am telling you, Anthropic is not building an AI that is here to protect humanity, but rather an AI that will turn against it They're deep into the woke rabbit hole and they do not care about morality Their AI safety team is a joke. Their moral guide for AI is literally a leftist lunatic with a twisted understanding of reality, who doesn't really care if the end goal causes humanity's end They have proved this at every opportunity they've had, and it's crystal clear
Katie Miller@KatieMiller

AI will have a non-zero chance of going rogue if not built to understand the universe rather than optimize deceptive leftist goals. Anthropic’s moral superiority is proven to be just hypocrisy.
