He also made mechanical adjustments to increase his velocity. “Artificial” velocity training vastly increases the risk of elbow surgery (especially in teens). ⬅️ Fact. Also- People telling pitchers they don’t need to run is preposterous for a number of reasons.

“he started throwing his fastball a bit harder, that extra oomph, he said, was the result of better conditioning - In college, I was 88 in the 1st inning & usually 84-86 in the 6th… once I got to pro ball, I lost 30 pounds, which helped me move faster” (velo training = 50/50 TJ)

Players....Big difference between Thanks and Thank You. Get in the habit of using highly respectful vocabulary. Eliminate, man-dude-yea-nah-etc. from your vocabulary when talking to coaches/teachers/adults/etc. Being respectful is an all the time thing.

Our 12u, rising 13u Elite VA players are having a wild and crazy summer. Had to win 7 games in 7 days to make it to the Championship. That included 3 games in less than 18 hours!! Talk about #Uncommon . Great work boys and Coaches!
