Raiders being a massive part of it is not at all surprising. Never a dull moment with this team.

Why is the physical not done before teams agree to a deal?

@Acr1118 But I wouldn't make the trade for some mid round pick now. They no longer have leverage. He has seen how aggressive they've been in free agency, he can come back for a year, ball out and then be moved next year.

Can someone put out what this means for the Raiders cap situation? I THINK they are still fine with it and really will just lose the 2nd 1st rounder but who the heck knows.

@Acr1118 So they get everyone from yesterday, they get Maxx back and they just lose the extra 1s. I'm sort of ok with that but don't want to get my hopes up.

@BRowitz The trade freed up 30 million. It sounds like we were at around 67 million after the Geno trade. Around 35-37 million I guess.

@TheRajGiri @wrestlenomics WWE is always going to have the attendance leg up. Its the name associated with pro wrestling and families will head towards that. Me personally as a wrestling fan find myself so much more into AEW over WWE no matter what TV ratings tell me.

You can "feel" something, but the numbers kinda tell a different story. There's no use using Nielsen numbers since they were all over the place late last year. But @wrestlenomics recently compared live event market-to-market comparisons for AEW and WWE (using data via @WrestleTix where numbers were available). Through Feb 28, for same-market same-event types, AEW was down for 6 shows from the prior event in the same market, and up for 5. WWE was down for 11 shows and up for 9. So if anything, both have been on the decline as far as tickets in the same market go.

@VinnyBonsignore Do they have to spend up to the salary floor? Could they overspend on some guys to hit that?

In addition to having the most draft capital, the @Raiders also have the most cap space with $127M once Geno Smith is officially off the books. Trading Crosby frees up $30M in cash and space. Smiths release frees up $8m in cash/space too. An incredible amount of spending power.

Sad that I don't get to see Maxx win as a Raider but the deal makes sense. Maybe a @CharlesWoodson type reunion down the road after he wins a ring with Lamar.
