@locutus19947538@MartinCukic@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Nobody said WBD wanted them gone. Its also not surprising the guy notorious for bad deals made the deal. I hope they stick around in a realistic fashion. I like alot of people there.
@BSC303@MartinCukic@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW So you're saying wbd didnt include rampage in the new deal but did include library, simulcasts, ppv on max and increased $ because they wanted aew gone? Also the negotiating windows are public knowledge
@MartinCukic@locutus19947538@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW In almost every way it is. The windows dont equate to the time table. Collision & rampage weren't the same especially to talent lower on the card who would work it & rampage & the ability to buy a ppv are two very different things for advertising alone.
@locutus19947538@MartinCukic@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Because like what you wrote its just disconnected enough that maybe someday you'll get all this, but right now what you're saying makes little sense for anything reality based.
@MartinCukic@BSC303@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Wwe's negotiating window was different than aew's. They started in April '22. Aew's was in q3 of 2024. Collision made rampage redundant and aew's library, simulcasts and ppvs going to hbomax more than madeup for losing rampage.
@locutus19947538@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Getting anything is a great deal. You dont need to be anything but informed on basics & understand whats happening. Be overwhelmingly optimistic all you want but it is what it is.
@BSC303@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW You should be crunching numbers on fox business with all your knowledge lil bro. Either way I wouldnt be shocked if aew comes out of this with a great deal.
@BSC303@MartinCukic@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Did this whole song and dance the last 7 yrs. Every time aew has a tv renewal coming up everyone is positive it's doomed. Then the opposite happens.
@locutus19947538@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Yes they offered more & said its worthless. Then what a buisness does is dump everything as long term cost analysis & leverage it against themselves. It dosen't change how they feel about it.
@BSC303@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW That came from a business insider article. They put out that valuation as a negotiating tactic to make their offer look better.
@locutus19947538@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Paramount Skydance actually assigned a very low, almost negligible value to WBD's linear cable TV networks, arguing they were worth roughly \(\$1\) per share or even effectively \(\$0.00\) when accounting for high debt, expected operational costs, and declining revenue
@BSC303@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Netflix actually said that Not paramount. Paramount wanted the cable networks as part of the package. Otherwise they wouldve bid only on the movie studio like netflix did.
@locutus19947538@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW No Paramount valued it also...Netflix didnt want it at all. Paramount put it so low its funny but they did include it. Its worth next to nothing & soon to be nothing.
@MartinCukic@locutus19947538@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Its going to be exceptionally cheap. I dont doubt he will end up getting something. But its going to be a money pit of a company which I doubt he cares. It just wouldn't be a smart move for many people.
@locutus19947538@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Paramount said the TV side in total is worthless. They are reports on what was valued for the sale. Its industry knowledge not speculation.
@locutus19947538@MartinCukic@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Tony does nothing with them in regards to the NFL. Ari literally helped Ellison secure this deal. Tony has no relationship at all close to TKOs buisness wise. They are going to dump assets like crazy after the merger. It isnt about tv shows. Its about infrastructure.
@BSC303@MartinCukic@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Im just going with the facts. Tko doesn't have a non compete with paramount for pro wrestling. Aew is relatively cheap compared to everything else in the portfolio. Tony has a good relationship with dana white, David ellison, ect. Tony already does biz with them through the nfl
@BSC303@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Of course anything can happen. John didnt mention that paramount will have a stake in aew once the merger is finalized. And all wwe content is with competitors disney/netflix. So why get rid of a valuable asset. 🤔
@locutus19947538@MartinCukic@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Nothing contractually. They have a 7.7 billion dollar deal with TKO. AEW makes almost nothing comparatively. TKO famously shuts people out of things. This isnt rocket science. They are screwed after the sale.
@BSC303@MartinCukic@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW Paramount can't get any wwe content because its exclusive to other competitors. After the merger Paramount will own a stake in Aew. Even john confirms there's nothing in the ufc deal stopping Paramount from working with aew.
@MartinCukic@locutus19947538@justdavenow89@JFMcMullen@AEW IDK how anyone can have the information at hand that 1, Paramount has a 7.7 billion dollar deal with TKO & TKO advised them on this acquisition & think AEW is fine there.
@BWessel9009@MegatronDon1986@UnfitFinlay@SeanRossSapp@JDfromNY206 That isnt what they are claiming & the wording is specific. WBD isnt canceling a show they won't be in charge. They gave Tony a heads up. This is also murky legal waters so denial is completely expected. The facts dont change though.
