We've been given the all clear to go back in as it was a false alarm. We are SO proud of BSCS students. They were the first ones down the stairs on hearing the alarm and listened brilliantly to our instructions. Now settling back in after a long day of adventures!

Just arrived back at the hostel. We've had a fire alarm so the emergency evacuation has been done as a precaution. Just to reassure everyone, ALL students and staff are accounted for and are safe.

A fascinating visit to the Stasi prison this afternoon, where we had a tour around the site. We were shown the arrival bay, cells, interrogation room and the exercise yards and got a real sense of what it was like to be incarcerated here during the Cold War. #bscs #historytrip

A late morning visit to Checkpoint Charlie followed by a bit of lunch and explore around the area. Now back to Alexanderplatz to get a tram to the Stasi prison. Some tired legs but all still smiling and having a lovely time! #bscs #historytrip #checkpointcharlie

Final visit of the day was to the Palace of Tears, a former border crossing between East and West Berlin. Mr Morris remembered his time passing through here in the late 80s and was able to assist our tour guide in retelling stories from a divided Berlin.

Visit to the TV tower this afternoon. The fog cleared to give the students a nice view over Berlin. Had time for a bit of retail therapy too, so everyone is happy. #bscs #historytrip #tvtowerberlin

A long day of travel is almost over. One last journey on the S-Bahn left to go. The students are very excited to reach the hostel and settle in for their first night.
