This Sunday, 1st February, is Schools Ministry Sunday. This is an opportunity in our local churches to pray and give thanks for all the work that local Christians and churches do to serve our local schools.

This term our Primary assemblies tell the story of the Transfiguration, as we continue to tell the story of Peter and how his life was changed when he met with Jesus.

Our 'Darkness to Light' Project is an interactive storytelling of the Christmas Story for Year 2’s, exploring the themes of light and darkness using puppets and a knitivity set. We are excited to be delivering 16 sessions with schools over next few weeks.

This week we have started a 'Caterpillars' group with a small number of pupils at a local primary school. This 6-week programme helps pupils to grow through change and look deeper at their emotions.

Throughout the school year we have the privilege of taking lunchtime clubs in both primary and secondary schools. This is an opportunity for fun, crafts and discussion on Christian themes. This term we are looking at Old Testament Miracles in our primary school clubs.

It's the start of a new school year and we hope that all pupils are settling in well. We are looking forward to getting back to serving our local schools over the coming weeks.

With the new school year about to begin, it's time for churches to celebrate 'Back to School Sunday'! Let's give our support and prayers for everyone starting back at school.

This past week we have taken 3 Curiosity Trails in a local primary school with some great year 5 helpers. Pupils were exploring changes, celebrating the past year and making new starts. Curiosity Trail is an activity giving pupils a chance to pray and reflect.
