Mississippi State rallies and defeats Ole Miss in game one! The Bulldogs trailed multiple times in this game, but continued to fight back. State trailed 1-0 after the 4th, but added three runs in the sixth to take a 3-1 lead. Ole Miss took a 4-3 lead in the 7th after a three-run homerun, but MSU battled back to score two runs in the 9th inning which was enough to win the game. Tyler Pitzer was the winning pitcher for State and he gave the Dawgs a huge spark out of the pen. He retired all six Rebels he faced to close out the game. Game two is tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. CT in Oxford. State will try and take the series and continue their dominance of their rivals. #HailState

#6 Mississippi State dominates #11 Southern Miss, run-ruling the Golden Eagles 12-0. The Bulldogs scored in all innings but the last, tacking on nine total runs in the first three innings. State got a solid start from Jacob Billingsley, along with some added scoreless innings from Bauer, Gleason, Rhodes, Burns, Webb, and Miller. Jack Bauer was registered as the winning pitcher, securing his first career victory. With the win, MSU moves to 21-4 overall. The Bulldogs will head to Oxford this weekend, looking to improve their 4-2 conference record against Ole Miss. #HailState

#6 Mississippi State wins in run-rule fashion in game three over Vanderbilt, sweeping the Commodores for the first time since 2000! The Bulldogs got after Vanderbilt early, scoring six runs in the first inning. State scored in every inning during this game, giving the starter and winning pitcher Duke Stone a great amount of cushion to work with. MSU outscored the Commodores 28-11 between all three games, dominating at the plate for the entire series. With the win and sweep, State is now 20-4 overall and 4-2 in conference play. MSU will host Southern Miss on Tuesday, looking to even the season’s two-game set with the Golden Eagles. State will travel to Oxford for the weekend, taking on Ole Miss in a three-game series starting on Friday. #HailState

#11 Mississippi State falls in game three to Georgia and drops the series to the Bulldogs. UGA scored the first seven runs in this game, getting after State early in the game with all of them coming before the 4th inning. MSU added on four runs late in the game, but couldn’t draw even or take a lead. With the loss, the Bulldogs have now dropped their first two conference series, both against top 15 teams. State is now 29-6 overall and 2-4 in SEC play. MSU will be back at home next week, taking on UT Martin on Wednesday and top-25 ranked South Carolina in a three-game series starting on Saturday. #6 Mississippi State dominates the seventh-ranked Tigers in Baton Rouge! Earlier in the week, MSU dropped a close one at Texas A&M, as the #9 Aggies defeated State, 4-3. The Bulldogs got the much-needed bounce back win today and did it emphatically. State’s record now sits at 16-3 overall and 7-2 in conference play. The Bulldogs will be back home on Friday, taking on Ole Miss, and on Sunday, taking on Kentucky. #HailState

@HailStateWT swept their two matches today over Arkansas and Southern Miss, winning in both games by a score of 4-0! MSU went 2-1 this week after falling to #9 Oklahoma earlier in the week. The Lady Dawgs record now sits at 15-6 overall and 3-6 in conference play. State will be on the road next week and for the next four matches. They will travel to Auburn on Thursday and to Florida on Saturday. #HailState

Mississippi State defeats Vanderbilt in game two, clinching the series over the Commodores! Tomas Valincius struck out 14 Vandy batters, while not allowing an earned run and only allowing two hits in seven innings of work. He has been phenomenal for MSU this year, especially through his first two SEC starts. State scored four runs in the second inning and never looked back, adding three more over the rest of the game. The Bulldogs will go for the sweep tomorrow at 1 p.m. CT in Starkville. #HailState

Mississippi State wins over Georgia in game two and forces a deciding game three for the second straight weekend! Alyssa Faircloth struck out double-digit batters for the sixth time this year in the and for the second time this week. State’s Kiara Sells and Kinley Keller hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning which lifted the maroon and white over Georgia. Game three is tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. CT. #HailState

The Bulldogs drop the series to #1 Tennessee to fall to 27-4 overall and 1-2 in SEC play. MSU’s pitching staff solidified itself as one of the best in college softball this weekend and will look to take that momentum into next week. A weekend attendance record was set at Nusz Park this weekend, with 4,818 fans attending the three games combined! State will host UAB on Wednesday, which we will be on the call for! Next weekend, the Bulldogs will head to Athens to take on Georgia. Thank you for tuning in this weekend for all three games between MSU and UT! #7 Mississippi State finishes off the week with a close win over #22 Florida! MSU won earlier in the week on the road against #14 South Carolina 4-3 as well. The Bulldogs have now defeated seven different teams currently ranked in the ITA top 25! They have beaten Florida and Auburn twice this year, two teams that are apart of that group. With the win, State moves to 15-2 overall and 6-1 in conference play. They are on the road again next week, taking on Texas A&M on Friday and LSU on Sunday. Both of those teams sit inside of the top 15 of the ITA top 25 rankings. #HailState

Mississippi State splits the week, winning today over Missouri, 4-0! With the win today, the Bulldogs now sit at 13-5 overall and 2-5 in the SEC. State will be at home again next week. They will face Oklahoma on Thursday and play two on Saturday against Arkansas and Southern Miss. #HailState

After Mississippi State evened up the series with a game two win earlier today, the Bulldogs fall in game three to Arkansas to drop the first series of SEC play. MSU jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but were unable to tack on anymore runs. The game was tied heading into the bottom of the eight inning, but the wheels fell off for State as four runs came across to score for the Hogs during that frame. With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 16-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play. State will be at home next week, taking on Jackson State on Tuesday and Vanderbilt for a three-game series starting on Friday. #HailState
