@Zig4na You people celebrated the people who broke the idols (Ghaznavi, Ghori, Bin Qasim), yet claim the civilization that made the idols.

Geographically many Greek and Roman sites sit in Turkey. But Turkey has no claim on them. Your foundation is based on two nation theory which very explicitly states that you have no claim on ancient past even if you are squatting right on top of it. If you do claim then you are questioning very foundation of your country.
Umar Khayyam@utggondal

@vajrayudha11 Thank you for the grammatical correction. But geographically it still is in Pakistan.

Noticed how the USA returns artefacts of Mehrgarh, Indus Valley and Gandhara to Pakistan and not India? Because there was no Indian country back then, and the Indus Valley is modern-day Pakistan. Duh.

"Indian civilisation"? Jaishankar is back at stealing ancient Pakistan’s history. Panini and his brother Pingala were both born in modern-day Punjab & KP provinces of Pakistan. The Chandra Sutra - foundational to the binary system that the digital world runs on - was conceived and enriched at Taxashila University in Taxila, Pakistan. There was nothing "Indian" about it - let alone the "Indian nation-state". This was the Gandhara civilization, now in Pakistan. And as someone from the vicinity of Gandhara, I find it insulting that Jaishankar - hailing from thousands of miles away in Tamil Nadu - shamelessly kangs onto my land’s achievements. Tamil Nadu is as distant from Taxila as Russia. Jaishankar's baseless kanging is as absurd as I kanging onto Russian history would be.
Shashank Mattoo@MattooShashank

“Indian civilisation created the idea of the code which runs our modern tech age. The digital era runs on the binary system. Its roots can be actually traced to Pingala’s Chandra Sutra. The rhythm of our ancient verses was algorithmic,” says S Jaishankar at the UN

@HannibalBarx Are you originally arabs/turks or hindus? Make up your mind. Your failed marshal said you are 'different in every possible aspect' from Hindus. If the Two-Nation Theory is true, the IVC isn't yours; if it's false, Pakistan has no reason to exist. Which is it?

@HannibalBarx Regional diversity inside the IVC is beside the point. The civilization was pre-Islamic, and many of its symbols and traditions show stronger continuity with later Indian civilization than with Pakistan’s modern Islamic identity.

@BSanda51796 Point was that there were already cultural differences. You can’t expect such a big area to have uniform culture. So if yoga and swastika is defining features then I already pointed out some differences that existed back then. So maybe these wine drinkers didn’t do yoga

@BSanda51796 Yeah and then those people changed religion, doesn’t mean they don’t belong to the same people. What do Indians think happen when people change religion?

@Zig4na your own identity is built on a 1947 'Year Zero' ideology that views that entire pre-Islamic history as Jahiliyyah (ignorance). You can't claim a lineage you spent 75 years trying to erase.

@HannibalBarx The very fact that the Mahabharata describes the people of Taxila and Punjab, even critically proves they were part of the same civilizational discourse. Cemetery H at Harappa and lothal proves cremation, check a book. You can't claim a lineage you spent 75 years trying to erase.

@BSanda51796 Any source for cremation buddy? Your Mahabharata laments how the people of modern day Punjab and Taxila ate garlic and drank. Oh and loose women of Sangla. So would you consider them part of Vedic culture or not?

@HannibalBarx IVC literally practiced cremation alongside burial. And you completely ignore the direct line of cultural iconography like the Pashupati/proto-Shiva seal, yoga postures, and the Swastika which survived entirely in Indian tradition, Pakistan has zero continuity with any of it.

@BSanda51796 Like not burning their dead? So now your claim more to ancient Vedic stuff? IVC wasn’t hierarchical one thing that Vedic stuff harps about is rigid hierarchy so sure buddy. Same continuation
