Read the gospel accounts of his torment from Gethsemene to Golgatha. Think about all that He endured. Have you ever felt abandoned by God? So did Jesus. Anxiety so intense that you sweated blood? He did. Pain as if your flesh had been pierced to the bone? Jesus did. The struggle to breathe when your lungs simply won't draw enough air? He did. Who else loves you as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost?
