Open payment standards are not a side narrative. They are a prerequisite for an internet where agents can participate economically, not just computationally. Once value starts moving machine-to-machine, the market will care less about polished interfaces and more about which assets can actually support settlement, coordination, and scale. That is where Bitcoin-native finance starts to matter.
Minara AI@minara

Happy 4/02 Day 🎉 Genuinely excited to see the industry come together around an open standard rather than yet another proprietary silo. We've got x402 on our roadmap as well, where agents can pay their own way, a lot of things unlock fast💪

Yield is never free. It is a price for taking someone else’s risk off the balance sheet. If redemption is discretionary or settlement is conditional, the yield is just leverage disguised as product. Durable yield is enforceable, auditable, operationally boring. #Yield #RedemptionRisk #OnChainFinance #BTCFi #MarketStructure

When monetary systems get stressed, Bitcoin stops looking like a trade and starts looking like infrastructure. That shift is exactly why the market is moving beyond holding BTC toward putting BTC to work in more durable financial rails.
CoinShares@CoinSharesCo

“I have watched this pattern play out in Ukraine, Venezuela, and now Iran. In each case, the crisis does not create Bitcoin's value so much as it reveals it.” @C_Bendiksen Our @Bitcoin Research Lead, Chris Bendiksen, dives into the effect of the Iran crisis on the usage of Bitcoin. Around 1 in 6 people now use it. Not as a trade, but as a response to currency collapse, sanctions, and instability. Each crisis tells the same story: when systems fail, Bitcoin gets used. In every cycle, the winners are the “boring” primitives. Routing that stays intact under load, settlement that clears without manual intervention, and risk parameters that are explicit instead of implied. That is how moats compound. #DeFi #Settlement #RiskManagement #Infrastructure #TBC

Liquidity is not TVL. It’s executable depth when spreads widen and everyone tries to exit at once. The stack that survives is the one with clear collateral rules, deterministic settlement, and routing that does not depend on heroics. #BTCFi #Liquidity #MarketStructure #Risk #Bitcoin

Every cycle invents a new wrapper for the same trade: cheap inputs, expensive narratives, subsidized demand. The spread lasts until markets start repricing around utility, cost discipline, and settlement. That is when value moves back to the rails.
Meltem Demirors@Melt_Dem

economics of compute: - OEM sells chip + components at 80% margin - neocloud 2-4x multiple expansion running chip - inference co 5-10x multiple expansion selling tokens - consumer gets subsidized inference so net loss for AI co (or shift cost to consumers) compression coming

The real unlock is not faster block times. It is faster economic coordination. When finality drops below a second, Bitcoin-native finance starts to feel usable for consumers, viable for enterprises, and executable for on-chain capital. That is how BTCFi becomes infrastructure.
Core DAO 🔶@Coredao_Org

A Bitcoin neobank needs to feel like Venmo. Enterprise integrations need real-time settlement. BTCFi needs instant execution. Sub-second finality makes all three possible. Coming to Core. ⚡️

The interesting markets are rarely the loudest ones. What matters is not just demand, but who controls flow, who absorbs shock, and where settlement friction starts showing up first. That is true in plastics. It is becoming true in Bitcoin finance too.
Meltem Demirors@Melt_Dem

the plastics market is one no one spends much time thinking about, yet, but touches every aspect of global markets, trade, and life in the modern world @tomorrowtweetin - our favorite plastics trader - is finally on x. follow him 👇

Capital flows may move Bitcoin’s price, but infrastructure determines how far the asset can go. If BTC is entering an era shaped by bank credit, digital credit, and institutional allocation, then it cannot remain idle collateral. It has to become productive, legible, and finance-ready. That is where the next Bitcoin cycle is actually being built.
Michael Saylor@saylor

Bitcoin has won. Global consensus is that $BTC is digital capital. The four-year cycle is dead. Price is now driven by capital flows. Bank and digital credit will determine Bitcoin’s growth trajectory. The biggest risk is bad ideas driving iatrogenic protocol changes.

Freedom of money is not just about access. It is about whether capital can actually move, settle, and remain usable under pressure. That is the direction this cycle is pushing the market toward.

The important shift here is not the interface. It is the compression of financial workflow into a single command. When research, monitoring, and execution start collapsing into one operational layer, capital moves faster toward assets with clearer settlement, better collateral logic, and lower trust assumptions. That is exactly why Bitcoin finance is becoming infrastructure, not just narrative.

Quantum risk is not a reason to doubt Bitcoin. It is a reminder that every durable monetary network eventually has to upgrade the assumptions beneath its security. The real issue is not whether Bitcoin can adapt. It is whether the infrastructure around it is ready to support migration, coordination, and continuity at scale. That is where the next layer of BTCFi becomes more important than most people realize.
Gracy Chen @Bitget@GracyBitget

Quantum risk isn’t something to panic about at this moment, but it is something to take seriously in the coming years. From conversations I’ve had with some scientists in the field, the underlying theory isn’t new. In principle, quantum could challenge today’s cryptography, but turning that into a real, large-scale threat is still likely many years away. It doesn’t suddenly break Bitcoin. It accelerates something the industry already knows how to do: upgrading its security assumptions. There are already active discussions and proposals around post-quantum cryptography, e.g. BIP360, new address standards, and migration paths. However, to me, quantum-proof Bitcoin is more like a coordination challenge. The real considerations are legacy wallets, migration timelines, and execution complexity. But framing this as an imminent failure misses the bigger picture. This industry has evolved through every major challenge so far. Quantum risk will be no different. Satoshi addressed it as early as 2010: “If it happens gradually, we can still transition to something stronger.” Worth reading the original thread: #msg2133" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">bitcointalk.org/index.php?topi… That insight still holds today. At Bitget, together with our research team, we’re following this closely. And we'll support the ecosystem in building toward a more resilient, future-proof foundation 💪
