Caste has no legitimate place in Hindutva because Hindutva, at its core, is a civilisational idea, not a birth-based hierarchy. Politically, caste weakens Hindu society. It replaces collective civilisational self-respect with internal rivalry and grievance, making Hindu society perpetually vulnerable to division and manipulation. A civilisational resurgence cannot be built on internal walls. If Hindutva is to mean renewal rather than repetition then Caste, as hierarchy and exclusion, belongs to a social past that Hindu civilisation must transcend, not preserve.
