NEW: A follow-up survey of the same Marketplace enrollees KFF surveyed in 2025 finds half (51%) of returning enrollees say their health care costs are “a lot higher” this year compared to last year. This includes 4 in 10 who specifically say this about their premiums. on.kff.org/3NKfN84

KFF’s latest poll shows a majority of the public (59%) now say they are at least “somewhat worried” about being able to afford prescription drugs for themselves and their families. This is the largest share since KFF first polled on this question in 2018. on.kff.org/4s4LNCF

Adults ages 50 to 64 are disproportionately affected by the expiration of ACA enhanced premium tax credits because they make up a large number of Marketplace enrollees and premiums rise with age.
