Telangana Cabinet Decisions 50% of the salaries of Ministers and MLAs will be withheld and diverted to clear pending dues of retired employees. Cabinet expressed concern over pending dues to employees and retirees. It said ₹6,200 crore is pending for regular employees and ₹8,000 crore for retired employees. Alternative funding options will be explored immediately. Ministers also offered to divert 50% of their salaries, along with salaries of public representatives if needed, to help clear retiree dues. The Cabinet aims to make arrangements for payment of pending retiree dues within 100 days • Cabinet appealed to RTC employees to withdraw the strike and attend talks under the Deputy Chief Minister’s leadership on Friday. It said the government is sincere about resolving issues through discussions and has already formed an officials’ committee with a positive intent. • Cabinet discussed the High Court verdict on the Justice P.C. Ghose Commission report on Kaleshwaram. It said the court did not strike down the judicial commission, nor reject its report, but objected only on technical grounds related to notice to petitioners. The government decided to again request the CBI to speed up its probe into alleged irregularities in the project. It will also consult legal experts in Delhi on whether to approach the Supreme Court. • Cabinet approved redevelopment of Gachibowli Stadium under the Public-Private Partnership model. Sports facilities for 21 disciplines will be created across 64 acres, while stadium capacity will be expanded from 20,000 to 50,000. Plans also include a Sports University, athlete housing, training infrastructure, and commercial use of the remaining 12 acres to generate revenue for sports development. • Cabinet approved funds for pending land acquisition for the Chinna Kaleshwaram project in Manthani constituency. The project is expected to benefit around 45,000 acres and 63 villages across Mahadevpur, Kataram, Malhar Rao and Mahamutharam mandals. • Approval was granted for an Integrated Aqua Park near Sripada Yellampalli Project in Hajipur revenue limits of Mancherial district. Around 85.10 acres of irrigation department land will be transferred to the fisheries department for the project. • Approval was given to appoint nominated governing bodies for Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) whose elected terms have ended.
