Science turned musical this afternoon in year 4. We created our own chordophones and membranophones to explore pitch and what changes it as part of our Sound unit 🎶🎵 🇬🇷 🇮🇪

The gardening club handing over the first produce to be harvested to the school kitchen.

We learnt about pollination and made bees to help us. We even sang a song and flew our bees around the room. Well done year three.

We completed a pattern seeking enquiry where we found out how important water and light were to help our crews seeds grow. We recorded our results with a picture of each pot. What do you think was the pattern?

In computing, France class learnt about branching databases. We used closed questions to group animals based on their attributes.

France Class (and Y3) really enjoyed watching and taking part in the races this morning. Lovely to see classmates cheering each other on. 🔵🟢🟡🔴

We practised our scientist skills of observing and labelling by drawing flowering plants in our school gardens.

Learning about the varying diet needs of different Olympians!

We practised observing by looking at some soil and writing down what we saw. Scientists have to look very closely and be able to record what they see.

We observed, sorted, grouped and described rocks today. We practised our scientist skills of observing, recording and interpreting and worked as a team. Well done!

There aren’t many safe ways to explore space so we’re very grateful for this opportunity!

We had a great visit from the planetarium yesterday!

We researched livings things that would be found in the Norfolk Broads habitat.

It was Greece class’s turn to watch the digestive system at work! Lots of screaming and enjoyment all round!

We ordered and sorted the steps that describe how a fossil is made. Great teamwork.

Year five have a fantastic pop up planetarium visiting them today. A taster of their forthcoming Earth and Space topic.

To round off our science topic - light - Australia Class told the story of the three little pigs using shadow puppets.
